Well, you can always try DiGi EDGE.
I'm using d' campus package and it only costs RM 30.00/month. Too bad you are graduating this trimester. laugh.gif Anyway me too and I used my housemate's ID to register, get to use another 1 year for that rate. rclxms.gif

Added on May 25, 2009, 6:41 pmI'm now downloading my daily DDL using FDM, initially I just straight downloaded my stuffs, today thought of trying download manager. IDM is good but too bad it is a shareware, so I opted for FDM since it is free. thumbup.gif

As a result:

I select it to be the light mode that download speed will be minimised to not to affect my surfing speed. The cool thing is the speed still remains and my surfing is as smooth as silk. See, I still can upload an image. tongue.gif

Borrow a DiGi SIM card and plug into an EDGE enabled phone. If it has the "E" sign means you are in EDGE coverage. That's the easiest way to determine. smile.gif

digi EDGE unlimited . who win?

doh.gif U-Mobile has 5GB Fair Usage Policy but it is yet to be implemented.
You can still use it unlimited at the mean time, when is it going to be implemented? That is up to U-Mobile's discretion.

DiGi will never achieve 384kbps on DiGi EDGE because it is using EDGE and not UMTS, only with UMTS it can achieve that speed.
EDGE = 2.75G
UMTS = 3G

I'm using EDGE and I know that, the highest it can achieve is around 230kbps.

If your phone has EDGE capability then it will connect to EDGE (assumed your area has EDGE coverage), if your phone has no EDGE capability, then it will connect to GPRS.

Another condition is if your phone supports both connections, just see either "E" or "G" sign appears on your phone.

To know if your phone has EDGE or otherwise, can check through http://www.gsmarena.com

No, EDGE is not UMTS.
EDGE is only 2.75G while UMTS is 3G.
Maximum speed for EDGE is only 230kbps while UMTS is 384kbps.

thx fruitie for answer me question laugh.gif

Yeah it is. Make sure you have fulfilled the requirements. laugh.gif
First, try looking if your university/college is in the participating list: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/outlet.do
If yes, try to look for the nearest outlet to your campus: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/outlet2.do

Anyway, I have started a thread about DiGi Campus: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=795499&hl=
A lot of information for you to read through. biggrin.gif

Not really, it depends on the coverage.
Plus EDGE is popular for its stability and not speed. smile.gif
