Is this a good monitor for gaming?

I have placed an order for the Acer KG270 to replace my son's ancient 20-inch monitor.
He plays CS:GO and DOTA 2 most of the time. It is the cheapest budget 27-inch gaming monitor I could find. Only RM689 on Gemfive. I am surprised that it supports AMD FreeSync (75Hz) at this price point. It is a cheaper version of the Acer KG240A (144Hz) with the same TN panel. |

LG 23MP68VQ looks promising for the price. IPS, 23', Freesync 75hz for less than 550. I just bought the ultrawide version, it's good (assuming they're of similar panel).

im not own KG270 but when i plan to buy that monitor, the seller told me that monitor color not nice. compare with other TN panel monitor

That's odd.
Why would the seller of the Acer KG270 say that the colours are not nice? That would jeopardize his own sale. Probably the monitor settings are wrong, or the colours are not properly calibrated. Anyway I will let you know after I receive the KG270. |
