Anyone upgrade their Headunit for City 2016 E spec? Plan to order online and DIY. Just buy HU, OEM ISO socket and facial casing. Heard no wire cut needed, is it true? Interested on Pioneer AVH-X5850BT. This brand ok? Anyone here got DIY?

Hi, anyone already changed their car battery? Do I need to do it at SC or I can change it outside shop? How about the battery size? Can I change to bigger size? Will it affect the car warranty?

Anyone face problem on their car which couldn't start? Not battery faulty as i just change 2 months ago.
Happened 4 times before send to SC.
1st time cannot start, wait few sec then start, engine on
2nd time cannot start, Electric Power Steering (EPS) System Indicator light on, tried turn around steering few time and start, engine on.
3rd time cannot start, refer to attached, Honda call tow truck need one hour, waited half hour try start, engine work. (cancel tow truck) [check picture]
4th time cannot start, [check video]. Honda call tow truck, tow truck driver come, also cannot start, but magic hand he has, turn the gear from P to N, engine can start. Send to SC, can't find any error but still help me change starter.

Thought story end,
Today morning engine still able to start, after finish work want to start engine, cannot start. Use the magic trick tow truck driver did, able to start.

OBD oklar. PNP stuff. If one day want claim warranty, just unplug the OBD nia. When we upgrade HU, just make sure to keep our original set. Rim also can, keep the original …haha..

That's why after I read review in FB city 2017 close group, knowing the HU is crap. I decided to changed from E/V spec after booking with SA to S Spec done. Use the money put aftermarket HU is much much better, change lighter rim and tyre to 16 and michelin ps3/ps4 tyre, change the front lamp to white led and rear lamp to BMW style light also no need to expensive. But have to accept no more paddle shifter, cruise control and no more rear air vent. The rest I don't think significant at all.

U already changed to aftermarket HU? Can share what brand/model of HU u installed?

Gps waze, require data to load map first. Then turn off data and use gps external sensor or continue using data.
Gps google map, require data.
Gps papago, no data require, just use external sensor.
Gps locking not sure cause i always use google map and have wifi hotspot connected. So its very fast locking locking the current location and to search. Im listening to youtube when not using map. Else i will use radio or usb music at background when i need to use map. )

About lag. Im not sure yet. But looks good after few days using. Like having a tablet on the car dash.

About sound. Definately no krik krik sound. Have to ask the installer to tie up nicely all the cables and dont let them hanging. Else when car roll over uneven road, you can hear the wire knocking the plastic or etc. So far mine no sound smile.gif
