Yes , the battery is housed there , so if you go to the rear , the battery occupies the space. Jazz hybrid gets lesser boot space because of this. Only few hybrids have a spare tire , one of is Ioniq

One of us got mod for extra sealing and he comment there's some small improvement.

Daun pisang to reduce stone and gravel hitting body.

If you ask me the maintenance more or less will be the same. Maybe Mazda slightly more expensive. But new Car got warranty. Mazda 3 feel more premium in the interior. CITY interior feel plastic even on the V SPEC and the stupid seats using cheap ass cushion that is so soft that make you butt numb and shoulder ache. Consider Mazda 3 if you wanna go for V Spec.
