QUOTE
“If you have been using Caltex with Techron all the while, then you probably do not need to use TCP since the Techron additive in the petrol has been doing a constant job of keeping the engine clean. We think that TCP will be useful for those who drive older cars, especially secondhand ones that may have been using all types of fuels and have a lot of deposits inside. One treatment with TCP should get the engine cleaned up and performing better,” said Jeremy Oh, Country Chairman of Chevron Malaysia Limited.

But but, engine is the last thing I want to risk voiding the warranty. Engine is by no means cheap.
You only save few ringgit going for the non-ori engine filter anyway...so I rather keep the warranty.

But for cabin filter yes, low risk, unless it affects your health, haha.
*
Oh yeah ...I didn't buy at last ...going to Honda authorised reseller for the air filter

ohoh...dun know yet, will try and feed back here...coz going to 10k km service... biggrin.gif
but when at 1k km inspection i try to ask the service advisor abt the accessories we installed at outside will void the whole car warranty or not, he said is better dun install anything if not will void the warranty for the related parts...
and i had checked the service booklet, inside mentioned that use the 3rd party wear and tear parts like filters and plugs which not recommended by honda will void the warranty as well... blink.gif
so far Mr Wolf, did the SC u went void ur warranty?
*
That clause is not in my booklet .should be newly added .

how do u talk to them while they wan to change ur cabin filter?
*
I juz told them I m using Bosch activated carbon.dont need to change .cabin filter won't cause any car part to spoil If u never change .only u will get sick easily coz the air inside cabin is dirty and contaminated.

I will only use genuine Bosch activated carbon .coz im asthma patient ....super sensitive during haze period

No battery indicator in the car.
SC told me to look at the indicator on the battery that supposed to turn pink when low.
But he said even that battery indicator is not reliable.
*
Get those car charger with car voltage indicator .it's available at lazada .

anybody here tried ceratec?
got any noticeable improvement?
*
Not sure if it will void the engine warranty . The engine oil is diff in color when they bleed it out . Don't think it will give any improvement as there is ntg much to improve as well.

Its not cheap ...rm150++

Save the money for better tyre and petrol .lol

I saw from videos, the engine oil will be pinkish brown when bleed out....
that itself is a huge give away to SC to void warranty
hehe
*
Got extra money? Go change brake fluid more frequently ...like every 30k once. Or pour in engine Cleaner like caltex TCP if u hardly refill with caltex .

U will feel the diff almost instantly ....lol

Dear City Owner,

Which Petrol do you pump usually and find it is good in term of Performance and FC?

I tried BHP, Caltex, Petron.. Personal experience:

BHP - not good in FC and performance..
Caltex - My preferred petrol.. Can feel more smooth when accelerate, FC okok jer..
Petron - FC slightly better..
*
Shell and Petronas -last choice ,engine would jerk sometime,FC same as Caltex
99% Caltex ,engine smooth.
BHP and Petron- engine smooth ,FC same as Caltex

*
I would care if it's too thin or thick .0w-20 is recommended engine oil for City . U won't go wrong with that .

Anyone using K&N filter for their City ?mind take photos ? I wanna know if mine is fake or not .got it at Lazada at Rm324 .there is only two seller there and both also reputable .

Did the service advisor threaten on engine warranty ?

After shop back cash back, its RM290 only .

very fishy...why don't they zoom in on K&N filter
*
They are the sole distributor for K&N filter .ntg fishy...hardly any fake k&n nowadays . Easily identifiable by looking at the filter I guess ?

THREE BOND ENGINE CONDITIONER

For those who want to DIY, this is cheap . Shop at PJS Taman Medan . Can cash and carry .
