Need to know the correct version of nvlddmkm.sys in system32/drivers folder for those using Win 10. I have 2 such files and I don't know which one to use.

Like to have the file size and date.

Many thanks.

What I know is, to correct a faulty driver, need to uninstall that driver first and then reinstall. Just updating the driver will not solve the problem.

Still in the mist of solving this sudden shutdown problem.

P/S If you are running Win 10, cam you do a search to find out the folders, size and date of the nvlddmkm.sys?

I don't think nvlddmkm got corrupt, but other might cause this driver stop working after windows latest update, even if try problem still come back

here the link that would work https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debu...ows-10-a-4.html but not 100% for some of us

Thanks.

Good infor on the 1st link.

On the 2nd link, that was what I tried a few days ago when I first got this shutdown problem and unfortunately, it has not solved my problem.

P/S In Win 10, can select deferred update where you will get the updates months later. Good, by then they would have tested and rectified most of the bugs! I have set mine for deferred update now.
