PB/PBi cc shenanigans - just to share

I tested even though unplanned:
PB & PBi card with KiplePay, Roblox and ShopeePay

ALL blocked - from RM20 to RM4K

Miffed thus called PB CC's CS
Was told it was an automated thing to block based on reports like Visa International - "currently wave of high risk / a lot of fraudulent transaction" thus auto-blocked

I asked how lar to transact
Was told to call in, even on weekends, to get temporary unblocking
AFTER the unblocking - it may block back again after a day or two,

Security VS Flexibility.. wheee..

PS:
Tried again after call:
Shopee OK
Roblox OK
KiplePay still kaput - called again, was told the KiplePay's side timed-out! what the..

no, will still fail because kiple's bank still blocking certain cards/issuers

Any idea why Kiple bank do this blocking ? Fraud Case a lot in kiple ?

not necessary just to kiple

if any bank detected specific issuer (eg public bank) has higher rate of cases, they may impose risk mitigation by declining their cards

this also goes hand-in-hand with bank promos as many cardholders whacking their cards for the rewards, then use variety of methods to fraud the bank (eg fraud chargebacks). in the end, the bank (issuer) itself being flagged for being "high risk"

Thanks for the info....but that means nothing we can do about this ...as I have complain to kiple for more than 1 weeks but seems my card still blocked....the cc bank also cant do anything
as it works for others...this is bad...

My HLB card also failing to reload after key-in OTP.
No issue for HSBC and SCB.

Those who have SCB/HLB saved to kibbles, dont remove.

As long ur SCB/HLB cards is saved, then still can use.

U mean no longer can add these cards?

I tried my alliance card and another card(forget which card) also cant add.

But topup without add card is fine.

Also cant add. At least for me.
