thanks for the sharing.
- for the Yi IP cam, i think i must get the international version to avoid these problems
- zigbee switch compatible with this xiaomi system?
- i am very interested to know the motion sensor work well or not. i wanted to use tat to trigger the light or alarm.
but base on what u said about the delay, my hope gone flat, ha!
- so the door sensor work well as can trigger the alarm? in time without delay? hahahaha
- yes! 1 of my requirements is to on/off all/some lights/fans with 1 button ;-) how about aircond?

thanks again

Yup, get international ones, a bit more expensive
The newer batch of 720p yi wifi cameras can't be used outside china that easily. You still can, but you'll need to open the camera and telnet/ssh something to be able to flash firmware.

The mjiia 360 camera got no region issue, so don't need to bother getting international version.
Yi home camera 2 1080p only at certain firmware version can be used outside china.

What i like about xiaomi camera:
1) Works well with streamyx shitty upload speed.
If you're outside home network, you can still get smooth streaming
2) alerts and sends these short 6 sec clip once motion detected

Door/window sensor works well for me, sometimes i had to just turn off the switch for the hub when I couldn't reach my phone. Especially when I went outside to get something from my car late at night and forgot to turn off alarm.

Motion sensor need to be placed at 45 degree angle and installed at around 6ft 7ft. Too high in the ceiling and probably can't detect movement..
