Seems they packed the wrong cable cord for that unit you bought.
Seek an exchange if possible.

Human error unavoidable.

hp/epson also provides 2 pin plugs in local units, as they are compatible to our power outlets. i dont see a problem with 2 pin plugs

This is not the regular Europe 2 pin, which we use here a lot.
It's a Korean type which slightly thicker, made it not compatible.

Noticed this as well, bought a canon laser printer and the seller have to provide a separate cable out of the box, would't it be easier to just put the correct cable after shipping it here so that they don't have to waste so many cables? icon_idea.gif

Nothing wrong with that. A few European countries use the same plug design too. I doubt everything in your house comes with the UK 3pin design.
Just get an adapter.
I always prefer the original cable. Although the plug is different, the gauge is normally bigger, sth like AWG18. When customer complain, the seller will quietly swap it with a poorer grade power cable with smaller conductor, such as AWG28. The consumer lose at the end.

Do check the "Whats Inside The box" normally printed in the manual or box. Some manufacturer provides multiple plug and they might missed it for your box.

malaysia market is too small. most 220-240v components are uk/eu stock.
