Hi. I purchase a leasehold house with STRATA title. It has been 2 months since SNP signed.
How long for the consent to come out?
I ask lawyer and said now waiting for consent. Anything i can do?
The seller is a singaporean.

Consent from State Authority?

Up to 3~6 months depending on whether you submit all the required documentations at the 1st go and how busy the land office is during the season.

When it comes to state consent approval for the sale and purchase of leasehold property, the nationality of the seller bears no weigh.

Did you ask for the presentation receipt of the state consent application?

Sometimes, legal firms tell you things that they haven't done yet. Whatever it is, the outcome of the application should be released between a period of 3 - 4 months from the date of submission, not the date of the sale and purchase agreement.

Whatever it is, there is nothing you can do now to expedite the process UNLESS..... you go over and ... you know what comes next.
