Used webe for about a month plus now. I'm in Kuching.

4G coverage is spotty. It is slower than 3G most of the time. Using 4G, with speedtest the best i got was 4Mbps. With 3G i get 8Mbps. I'm not using a webe certified phone, not sure if that effects anything...i was using Digi before, with 4G i get 30Mbps...makes me think that my phone is not the issue hmmmm

Another issue, Not sure if its my phone, if the area has 4G coverage issues sometimes it doesn't switch to 3G instantly...sometimes need to go airplane mode just to "refresh" it

Hi, fellow Kuchingites here.

Which area did u use your line? im being thinking of porting to Webe myself.

But after reading thru, im a bit undecided. My usage will probably for navigation, streaming, FaceTime when outside.

here's the process for port-in...

1) u order and request port in ("use my number").
2) webe deliver sim card to you.
3) once successful delivered, delivery agent close your order.
4) MNP will be triggered to your current operator. they will sms you to respond yes/no between 1-2 days. in my case, within 1 day from digi.
5) wait for current operator to release your number (depending on any outstanding or other issues that u may have with current operator)
6) if no issue, current operator will cancel ur line. there will be no signal already.
7) MNP will trigger webe to activate the line (sim card that u received earlier).
8) insert webe sim to ur devices and start using.

Im using it at a few areas and most areas (like 90% area i went in Kuching got 4G coverage). Overall, if you're in town area like Crown Towers or Main Bazaar area. 4G is achievable.

However, even if 4G is not available, you still have 3G coverage provided by Celcom which has an average speed of 6-8Mbps. which i think is quite a bargain for me to stick with webe considering you will be getting unlimited data, calls and SMS.

Im a satisfied user from Kuching~will recommend it to users in Kuching too.
