Digi unlimited 5Mbps is a great alternative to webe..if you have great Digi coverage on your area..

Fiber broadband all overprice in Malaysia..no plan available under the less than rm100 bracket..as far as I am concern

Yeah... Expect 90% of 2mb streamyx user will run away

That will be a lesson for both TM n Digi. TM for losing their customers n Digi for its inadequate Network to cater for this huge influx.

Yes, there's none fixed line broadband below RM100.
I'm willing to subscribe if there's a 5-10Mbps package below RM100, either adsl or fiber broadband.

Kudos to DiGi for being the first telco to challenge webe mobile. DiGi is T-Mobile Malaysia version 2. They even offer free 5GB tethering (first 10K subscribers; tethering is free for 12-months only...) following T-Mobile tactics...

I've warned webe on this free tethering ideas...

RM79 (no contract) vs RM80 (no contract too)...

Celcom, Maxis, UMobile & others to join the "unlimited" club soon...

My hypothesis:

TELCOS F.U.P. QUOTA D/L SPEED TETHERING PRICE
webe-m 9,999,999GB <50 Mbps RM6.36 for 2 hours 79
Digi-inf ??? <5 Mbps 5GB 80
Celcom-Black 120GB <5 Mbps 10GB 89
Maxis-Pro 200GB <10 Mbps 10GB 119
Umobile-Marvel 120GB <5 Mbps 5GB 79

The more ppl port out from webe, the better due to lesser network congestion; especially in metropolitan zones...

Not the built-in browser. But for iOS or Android they do have a separate apps for the VPN. But for desktop usage all are inside the browser which i don't use. LOL.

just get out from webe, as the speed really no satisfied with the price range. after 6-months of using the maximum quota i can use only 20-25GB, so i planned port out to celcom 98+10 with 40GB of total with full tethering+high speed.

very obvious now even webe riding on celcom's 3G but the speed was capped 2Mbps and the play store download speed really slow bangwall.gif . i rather pay for RM20 for better services.

I'm thinking of buying the Webe broadband + Huawei E5377 modem. Anyone got any experience with the modem / webe broadband? Is there any congestion issue with it?

Also, can I use the modem directly through my laptop? Cuz I keep reading that the battery can last up to 6 hours, but I use the internet a lot longer than that. So, can I direcly connect the Huawei E5377 to my pc for longer usage like usual usb modem? I've never used a mifi modem before, so please shed me some light.

i lodge a report to webe on 2 things

1. i wasnt able to received the TAC from certain sites such as dropbox
2. the speed was capped at 2mbps since february..

the answer i received was
1. webe has yet to established sms gateway for international sms. no timeframe given
2. my given address is currently on 3g. lte will be put onsite very soon (they refuse to answer the 2mbps cap thingy and they actually didnt address my question at all.. they refuse to admit it)...
