Digi is more generous with 5gb free tethering quota on rm80 package. I've been suggesting the same to webe for a long time but they seem to ignore it. As a new entrant in the telco business, webe should be more creative to diversify its offering. No one wants to pay RM6.36 for mere 2 hours of tethering.

which number do they send the confirmation in? 63666? or 011-xxxxxxx number?
*
For the first notification, it was from 63001.

For the "Yes" and "No" confirmation, it was from 25678.

For the acknowledgement SMS after i answered "Yes", it came from 25678.

I totally agree on that. For me, charging RM6.36 for a 2 hours tethering session is just a total BS.

RM10 for 1 month tethering pass of 5gb sound reasonable too. Webe must not expect other telco (like Digi) would introduce unlimited internet package too so they must be very confident to charge RM6.36 for 2 hours of tethering. Now the table has been turned. I am anticipating how Umobile, Celcom and Webe will react to Digi's latest offering ( Maxis may not join the telco war unless they are very badly affected by it)

Agree with you on that.

Btw, it's 5GB, not 10.

P1 4G is using WiMAX technology but we've used LTE technology. Both are different things.

I'm switching back to Maxis after 1 month with Webe.
First I can't receive oversea SMS & credit card OTP. Did a report and they said will investigate.
And then I realize many time customer told me they can't call me as if my area got no line but I'm at home all these while, my phone didn't ring at all.
Then this morning my phone didn't ring too but after 30 minutes I receive the Webe missed call SMS indicating I got a miss call on half a hour earlier.

Maybe it's just me but I don't have such issues with Maxis.

Gonna miss their unlimited call though.

Before switch out first while waiting for them get mature.
Now Digi also adopt unlimited call already.

But then Digi coverage at my area also not good.

I went to shopping mall and this what happen:-
1. saw two bar of 4g
2. when i want to surf net, it quickly drop to H+ with zero bar.
3. forever in H+ in zero bar

I'm shocked that it does not automatically go to Webe 2G. Then I manually set to Webe 2G. It takes a bit of time switch to that.

Maybe this is the reason. Your phone fail to switch to 2G.

How to live with 40-90kb/s?

My home is around 10mb/s.

Whatever the problem is, a Telco should give their user the experience & not uncertainty. Maxis is so much more stable than Webe.

already port out, my usage per month on webe only 9GB at least (due to unstable network and speed).. luckily digi here constantly smooth 15Mbps..

same case here, suddenly becomes no service when it tries to switch to 4G to 3G, or 2G.. and no signal for up to 10 minutes.. while my other xox sim works fine, no problem switching.

Even with good SINR also 90kB/s max doh.gif

Maxis coverage is better. So user experience is better. You get what you pay for I guess.

went to counter to subscribe webe broadband last week.

overheard something from conversation behind counter next to me, along the line of "... rm79 until end of this ..." .

i don't think it's "end of this year". most likely "end of this month" or end of this week".

edit:

but then again, did they no longer on promo but always RM79 now?

edit:

FAQ 3.
What promotion is this?
We hear you and we are making it simpler and easier for everyone to experience data liberation. Therefore, for a limited time only, we urge everyone to try webe's never-ending experience at the promotion price of RM79/month.
