It depends on the company whether they want over-spend the money or not? You should know that not many softwares supported for mac. If that company mostly use win32 app, then they need to use bootcamp/parallels/crossover (money). When use bootcamp or parallels, you need winxp os (money again). I don't think such company will use mac products. As in that article, if only money is not the issue... Don't say mac, anything is possible

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Feb 22 2007, 05:42 PM) Er... I've an entire department in my office which uses Macs... It's hard to find these company like these nowadays. It's a lucky thing. Well, little kids don't learn how to use Macs in school and I think Macs is sometimes too RARE for people to know. Just try to grab one on the street and ask if he/she knows Macintosh... I think for business, it's good to follow the POPULAR group by following the common thing so use PC for business lo..

QUOTE(KTay @ Feb 22 2007, 04:57 PM) Lol since you say win32 applications, does Apple use windows for business/work? As a matter of fact, some company(mostly in western countries) do. For an example, autocad. Do you know what the use of parallels? Parallels is designed for workstation like mac pro. It really depends on the company itself. And some company will use windows softwares in mac computers as an alternative (very rare case )

waynelyp90, You're right.. Most of the freshies don't know how to work a Mac, or if they do it's just the very basic stuff as most were trained using PCs. I find it a little 'heart-aching' to know the co provides good enough machines/systems for them to get their work done but no love is shown to their workstations.... Too bad I ain't within that division...
