How much is the tuition fees?

Unikl-RCMP MBBS - I am in the first batch, now second year, they are still improving in their programme. But overall it's ok. For the admission around 75 to 80% are malays as most of them are taking mara scholarship/loan.

Not everyone is like you MBBS siang, and the millions of ethnic Chinese, who are the first to jump the boat at the first hint of it sinking. Some people may think the whole "You tak suka, you keluar" mentality is normal, but it is not.

It is fine if you want to play Russian roulette with health care. But I don't. Yet I will be treated by the same health care system as you promote: reckless production of doctors just because you want to be a doctor when you are not cut out for one.

And don't think for one second that it is safe in what you call "developed country". Check out Jayant Patel. The only difference is, at least there is a attempt to resolve the problem, while in Malaysia you all just hide under the banner of passion and "I will do my best".

Russia is communist country right? I thought communist country consider as 2nd world country, where as the democratic capitalism one consider as first world country, third world country like Malaysia is the remaining three-quarters of the world's population, states not aligned with either bloc were regarded as the "Third World."

Ever considered that your "lousy health care" is due to the lax admission policies for local medical schools and foreign graduates? So let me get this straight: you, unable to get into and afford into a reputable medical school with some standard, decide to perpetuate the problem by thinking of entering "3rd world country like russia,indonesia", with lax admission policies, just so you can fulfill your (and presumably your parents) dreams of being a doctor.

And of course, you still hide under the banner of "not all doctors from 3rd world medical schools  are Dr Death". "Choose a doctor"? What do you think this is: a supermarket? Please, get rid of your sifu mentality.

If I were to paraphrase, A nation who wants to have a competent health care system needs a network of well educated medical specialists, not just a brilliant few. In many parts of the world, you don't need to choose doctors. In certain circumstances you can't choose doctors.

I've been told that none of the medical schools in Malaysia has high qualities... I don't know if that includes UM.

And hey, Can I know roughly the salary for Houseman? It's important for me because I need to make sure that I can financially support My sister.

Woo, that a sign of desperation. Back in 70's, doctor got wage lower than teacher. RM1000 a month.

My dad even got to take unwanted chairs,table and refrigerator from hospital cause we can't afford rent and food.

Yep, dad always said that so we could be more appreciate the current economy and take advantage of it.

He work in Terengganu and then to Johor in that days. He even sold his Proton Saga because my brother and sister always wanted an ice cream which cost 50 cent and we can't even afford it.( seroiusly not lying)By selling it, we save on monthly installment by buying a second-hand car.

Now life much better...

Standard is ok lar, like most other established medical schools in Msia. Not top notch but enough to train a competent doctor (very much dependable on the students' attitude also). It was a worthwhile college back then, but now with sky high tuition fee (330K for 5 years, compared to 265K last time), i dun think it's worth while anymore. Better apply for AIMST, it's much cheaper and i heard the teaching quality is quite good too.

why the need for foundation?
you could directly study medicine abroad say.... in Indonesian top universities, eg; University Gadjah Mada / University of Indonesia / University of Padjadjaran ~

I assume you can speak Malay? its near to Malaysia and recognized by MMC. Cost effective also~

Think about it, those universities I mentioned are government universities, they have established Medical faculty, the man power, dedicated university professors/lecturers, hospitals, facilities, lab, etc to conduct a medical course~

or perhaps you are not considering to go abroad?

I will have to agree with your dad.

Its a waste to time to do a foundation when you already have STPM cert. (provided that you have the necessary grades to enter MD/MBBS or course)
STPM cert is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more "powerful" than ANY foundation program certs available in Malaysia.

While there are 10 IPTS offering MBBS/MD course, it's better to join a well established medical school, like the 5 IPTS currently recognized by MMC. Monash Malaysia is also a good option since it's recognized by AMC.

Huh? Not accept MUET is just funny since this is Malaysia which what M in MUET stand for. A new college with high expectation not going to work well especially in this time of financial uncertainty.

OK that mean I have to take TOEFL or IELTS now. That's really troublesome since I wanted to go to IMU. So where do I take this test? I think I wasted my time doing MUET when I should be dong something else if this is the step taken by most IPTS.
