Its a compilation of actual speedtest from real users within lowyat forum members with Minimum speed, Average speed and Max speed achieved summary.

Reason 2
Lowyat members can just search through the thread of their preferred telco speed test with just using keywords.


So lets begin


Step 1 : Go to Speedtest.net and Fast.com to do a speedtest.


Why Fast.com?
The Fast.com speed test measures an individual’s Internet connection at any given point in time of your actual ISP streaming video speed. It only show download speed.

Why Speedtest.net?
Speedtest.net operates mainly over TCP testing with a HTTP fallback for maximum compatibility. Speedtest.net measures ping (latency), download speed and upload speed but do not reflect on streaming video speed

Yes...you're right. Maxis dominates in terms of speed!

If Maxis make plan postpaid to maximum 100GB data.
For sure more people will subscribe.

I prefer Maxis to keep its postpaid plan to minimum offerings (not more than Celcom, Digi or U Mobile) because if too many subscribe then the line will be slow!

512kbps(kilobits) is equal to 64kBps(kilobytes) as 1 byte equals to 8 bits

Meaning we're subscribing basic speed ?

Unless it's video lite or music lite, which I don't know

Basic speed is OPTIMAL for video streaming ???

512kbps only can play 240p smoothly
360p quite ok but still will buffer at some point...
