Going back to my hometown in Perak during this new year holiday. U mobile's line does not work in my hometown here, internet speed only 0.4mbps ++ while another line of mine from other telco is having 20mbps here.

Are you having the same problem in your hometown with U mobile?

I feel like their service only can be used in some parts of KL and having problem on all other parts of malaysia.

Outside Klang Valley a bit slow. For me it's fast because I live in Selangor

Umobile is for people who don't go out from klang valley ever brown. If you want go move around then avoid umobile at all cost.

u know what cause it slow? its because people around u or whole cities using Umobile.
these happend when people from KL / Selangor suddenly balik same place with negeri , cities , place same with u.
normally phone network discovery setting set as automatic.
if u want proper umobile connection. please set manually and these 2 setting will avaiable

1) Umobile 3G

2) Umobile 3G / 2G

default connection option no (2) but i advisaed u chose option no (1) .u will such amazing speed.

if that place 3G Coverage not avaibale please switch to option no 2.otherwise u will see no signal on your phone.

many Umobile User dont know this trick.

this step are not same with restart phone. or pullout simkad and put in again.

Klang Valley its a core for all bussiness.

U mobile internet is becoming worse. Starting from this year, I cannot use U mobile teetering to play online games on my PC anymore. Pings may go up to 800+ even when my phone is showing 4G. When it went down to H+, everything totally DC. even my phone cannot access internet.

Recently, even my workplace is having the same problem. I find the internet speed is slower. I this U mobile need to buff up the internet service for users and not just keep selling internet plans and thinks that is the end of story.

Cheers, sending pics through whatsapp also takes ages now. But for RM28/month, guess I won't be complaining.

Umobile data only got good coverage in klang valley

Cancelled Umobile after less than a month of usage, crappy comnection with their wireless device.

umobile in Labuan is very bad , i bought MB , its 1238am and the speed is 35.2kb/s wtf? and its H+

my advise, just leave umobile. not worth paying cheap if you are unreachable when it matters.

Morning - 150kbps

Evening -50-80kbps

Night - 200kbps

Free spotify so I don't change. But I will when they do. So it's for all user, not just yourself. I tried changing to 3G band but still the same.

i dont think Umobile has been fast before...so far regardless of morning, noon, evening or night..it has never reached 1MBps..owaii

I'm also encountering issues in Pandan Indah. The signal is really poor and can't even do a simple update of the printer drivers. As usual U-Mobile does not take complains seriously as when I lodge a complain it was working fine for a few days and after that it is worst than before.

I heard from my friend living in sarawak that celcom is better in sarawak, while other telco cannot use. I think the coverage differs. I use UMobile cuz its cheap but I live in KL so i guess it doesn't matter.

Also, does anyone encounter problem that network suddenly very slow. Last weekend I was at One Utama and suddenly my phone cannot access any app, couldn't call for grab to go home Even my friend using digi also face same problem.

I am planning to get a Phone Plan that comes with an IPhone. I travel a lot, and so far U Mobile is the best/affordable plan offered in Malaysia. However, I kept seeing rumours that the coverage isn's great.

currently using gx50 plan... speed ok only, coverage .....urghh but cheap so not much complain for me..
here us my tips to getting better internet using umobile....
-use 3g only if ur encounter problem slow internet using 4g....this will normally fix ur internet issue but ur speed will drastically decrease laa that for sure

Honestly, even within Klang Valley I feel that umobile is terrible.

Try Hotlink Flex, it's postpaid, super cheap and using Maxis infrastructure (yes I know it's Hotlink but it's postpaid)

I used umobile a year ago.
Rm80 for unlimited.
1st month quite fast.
2nd start to slow down..even 4G still loding fb page...
Got full bar but no data..
I change to unifi/webe now..really satisfied.

yeah in selangor umobile can actually beat maxis in some area. like klang taman sentosa. umobile king there. maxis celcom and digi move aside. depends on area
