Just give him your Gmail address n password to sign in first. Than ask him remove Google account from phone than proceed factory reset. You can change your password again for security. It is obvious you didn't remove your Google account before reset.

Under accounts you will see Google. You either select delete account or hold the Google account down and select detect. Sorry I don't have phone anymore and cannot recall exactly how it is

P10+ I had no experience but based on the thread here lots of negative reports . I would think mate9 is a better choice than it
I prefer s8+ mainly due to its bigger display and is infact now my favorite phone besides mi mix. This year I had tested but all sold already : mate9, mate9 pro, lg v20, g6, htc u11, sony xz xperia premium , one plus 3t etc
Your buy decision will depend on your needs. There is no perfect phone

Based on latest firmware in Huawei Mate 8 that I use now:

Settings -> Accounts -> Google -> (Select google account) -> At the bottom there is a remove button with the dustbin icon. Click on that and a prompt will appear asking you if you really want to delete.

300+ for back cover and side keys? That is expensive... And how the side keys got lost???

I usually avoid imported set as I do not want to deal with problematic warranties claim later. Although Mate 8 is out of production by now, I wonder if one buys a new original set, will the warranty be active?

not lost but broken, the side volume keey seems to break or stuck.

parts are 200+, labour and gst total 300+

I saw ebay got the battery back cover casing, rm70++ only but you need to install yourself. Mine volume key aslo losses d.

Lately my Google play store eats up battery... anything to solve the problems?

hi, guys, i'm new to huawei...i just dowgrade from nougat version nxt-L29c636b585 to 6.0...because of gps problem(long story short)... now my version is now NXT-L29C636B193...Now i try to upgrade back to nougat from setting update but no update.

I try to flash using dload-package failed...so do you know how to update to nougat from my version

I've been having issues with my battery life. I'm using the 4gb ram, 64 GB version mate 8 for the past 14 months. My battery life for the past 2 months is really bad. I start my day (8am) with a fully charged battery (100%) and by 5pm, my battery used to be at 50% without charging it during the day. Nowadays, my battery reaches 50% by 1pm. After 50%, my battery drains insanely quick, it goes from 50% to 20% in just 5 minutes and 20% to 0% in less than one minute. I've noticed that once the battery starts draining after 50%, there are few apps that I haven't set to keep awake running in the background which is Google+, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Even after closing the apps, they still start running again within few seconds. The only apps that I have set to keep awake after screen is off are Facebook and WhatsApp and I have had this setting since I got the phone 14 months ago. Recently, my phone has been going from 80% or somewhere around this number to 0% and switching off and after connecting the charger, the battery goes from 0% back to 80% with 5 minutes. I've been told it's probably the battery that needs replacing but what about the apps that suddenly start running after 50% battery? Any advice?

I'm having the same phone with you and obviously having the same problem too. I have tried phone setting every corner I could find to save battery but you know what , the battery still drain by itself even if u don't use it. You can try as well. I have called KL service centre for a battery change and charges today, and to my surprise, I was told there isn't any mate 8 battery left even in warehouse. Anyone with out there if you have any reliable shop can help to change battery kindly share.... Thanks

I've found one in SS15 Subang called Fastech that has Mate 8 battery in stock and they charge RM 90 for it. My only concern is, what if it is not the battery and a software problem instead since I noticed a few apps suddenly start running in the background when the phone reaches about 50% battery and then starts draining. Whats causing those apps to run in the background.

Thanks. I'm not so sure that background running apps would cause the battery drop in a short period that u mentioned earlier. My observation is most probably battery problem as view back the battery usage detail, there is some how battery usage curve does not form as it used to be. It often showed gap down I.e from 48% to 0% within 3minutes call. I guess background apps would not able to do so.(I'm not IT savvy either).
