Hey guys I'm divided between getting an Alienware 15 i7 6700hq with gtx1070 (skylake) and i7 7700hq with gtx 1060 (kabylake) with gsync.. The skylake price is however about the same price as the kabylake..which is better

G-Sync monitors are very EXPENSIVE.. G-Sync isn't really worth it.. since 1070 already strong enuf...

G-Sync is a proprietary format that can only be used with Nvidia cards. Free-Sync on the other hand is a Display Port standard and can be implemented by anyone. The problem is, Nvidia doesn't want to use Free-Sync as that would mean them losing the money they are making from G-Sync. As of right now, Nvidia will not let you use Free-Sync on their video cards... i think no external monitor.... if u wanna use 1.. then get gsync type..
*
Coz other than gaming I will also use it to make videos and for presentations..meaning I might plug in to different external source..gsync won't effect it right?
