QUOTE(borgyang @ Jan 16 2017, 04:34 PM) From my understanding, all GTX-10xx series are G-Sync enabled GPU. Is the G-Sync feature limited by the panel technologies VA/TN/IPS and refresh rate? Would you mind to explain more? Sorry for my weak knowledge... QUOTE(borgyang @ Jan 16 2017, 04:41 PM) You mean if the external source is not G-Sync monitor, then can't get any display? Cannot "OFF" this G-Sync feature to connect the laptop with non-G-Sync monitor? You need three things to enable G-sync: G-sync compatible screen, G-sync compatible GPU and a motherboard architecture compatible with G-sync. If you don't have the G-sync screen but you have the other 2, you are still able to use a G-sync external monitor. ADD: You have to disable Hybrid graphics (Intel <-> Nvidia) to enable Gsync, some laptops permanently disable the graphics switching technology for G-sync; some laptops allow for manually switching between dedicated (G-sync) and Hybrid graphics (No G-sync) mode for user convenience. All the G-sync screens are >60Hz, there are 60Hz, 75Hz and 120Hz G-sync laptop screens in the market so far.

QUOTE(borgyang @ Jan 16 2017, 05:48 PM) I noticed that sometimes the laptop model doesn't specify details about the display screen. It just write 15.6" FHD IPS panel. How do we know the display screen is >60Hz and compatible with G-Sync? Ask the seller and check the laptop physically. Refresh rate can be checked via windows advanced display properties. Gsync can be checked in nvidia control panel.

QUOTE(afiq10 @ Sep 18 2017, 10:29 AM) is the battery removeable? warranty wont void if open the laptop case? how much? if its near RM4k.. i think better if i take ILLEGEAR laptop You don't need detachable battery, what you need is smart charging to prevent overcharging Modern laptops mostly come with undetachable battery in order to make the laptop chassis slimmer. QUOTE(Pharamain @ Oct 6 2017, 05:21 PM) Hi, well if you want gtx1060 with 7.5k budget there actually have quite a lot of choices, for example you can try MSI GE73VR 7RE with 120hz monitor, 1060 6GB and NVMe 256gb. or Illegear S5 that you can customize, price and spec might cheaper abit but you need to install your own system etc. Hi just to clarify, all ILLEGEAR system are bundled with Windows 10 Home SL by default
