4. Screen Size : 14 or 15.6
5. video card : A dedicated one will do, no gaming
6. dvd\cd tray: Not necessary
7. RAM : 8GB at least
8. SSD is a must

My sister is going to college soon and she needs a new laptop. There are two laptops in my mind but I can't make up my mind for now.

1. Dell Vostro 14 V5468-20412G-W10 Laptop/ Notebook (i5-7200U, 4GB, 1TB, NV 940MX, W10H)
2. Acer Swift 3 SF314-51-564Y 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-7200U, 4GB, 256GB, Intel, W10H)

Usage
1. Light Photoshop
2. Typing and assignments
3. Probably heavy usage on blogs, facebook, forums and youtube only

Which one do you think suits her more and can help her with her tertiary education?

Maybe previous version of XPS 15 may suit your need. But have to find lo

I think I can safely say this is one of the best mid range gaming laptops. But I do read about the fan noise issue. Macam behaving noisier than the other Max-Q laptops.

Maybe future dell updates would solve the issue.

Otherwise, this is a good choice for the purpose.

Have to ask kampeni to top up more if need better options lo

Yeah definitely need at least 16gb but I think it is expandable to 32gb. Not sure about the upgrade price though :lol;
