The i5 will exceed my budget though

Then the Miix 510 i3 is already plenty good, thought you'll need to splash a bit more for the pen from eBay or direct from Lenovo. You won't notice the DDR3 in use anyway.

The Switch 12 i3 is also a good option, IINM i3 version of that one does come with a pen, albeit a pretty... well... mediocre one. It runs DDR3 too, has a slightly shorter battery life and the lack of a fan makes it run a little bit hotter then the Miix, but otherwise it's pretty much comparable.

Hi man, just my idea, for the price i will recommend you go for Illegear Z5, GTX 1060 6GB.

http://store.illegear.com/z-series/135-illegear-z5.html

You can just buy the base model first, if under budget and upgrade it later on.

Customize gaming laptop.

Performance wise is far more better than GTX 1050 & 1050TI around 40% faster.

Get illegear Q5 Evo with 1050ti better. I5 7300hq good enough if just for gaming unless you doing cpu intensive stuff. If light gaming only then lenovo y520 at rm3399 with gtx1050 also a good choice. Just add an ssd + some ram then you're good to go. That Asus model seems pretty overpriced for the specs imo.
