I feel that this would be the right place to ask as I have little knowledge in regards to Malaysian banks.
I work overseas but my parents still live in Malaysia. The only CC I have is a HSBC one with a small limit as they'll only give me a limit as big as the FD I put with them. I rather invest that money elsewhere.
I'd like to get a card for my parents to use, but there should be a decent limit at I foresee spending on medical bills as well as the usual reasonable day to day expenses sparingly.
1. Annual Income: Enough. The only problem is that all my income is derived overseas. I don't pay taxes in Malaysia.
2. Annual Fee: Free. No extra fees.
3. Card required for: Medical fees, Everyday Expenses. Prefer it isn't an AMEX as I prefer wide acceptance for their sake.
4. Existing credit cards (if any): HSBC card in Malaysia with a decent limit. Plan to close and take my FD money out.
5. Interested in CC from: Any bank
6. Others: Need to find a bank that isn't picky on my income source. But would like a limit of 30 to 50k.
Citi's CB card does have some discounts for KPJ hospitals which might help the medical fees. And also CB for the every day expenses.I work overseas but my parents still live in Malaysia.
