So far still acceptable, OK if u live in KL. Most of Online Store (the Ang-mo punya) eBay, Amazon, PayPal, Book Depository also Accept Amex.
U can pay your Billing with 2Amex via Maybank2U to earn CB as I also do the Same & Most of my CB are from Utilities Bill.
*
I was just scrolling through reading some info and found this which caught my attention.

Do you mean if we pay TNB and water bill using 2Amex via M2U on weekends can get 5% CB ?

What about Astro, TM, Telco (Celcom, Maxis, etc) ?

My Petronas Ikhwan just got approved and after reading this, somehow I'm regretting didn't ask here first.

EDIT: I'm assuming we can also use 2Amex for petrol and groceries on weekend and get 5% CB ?

If this is true, my Petronas Ikhwan doesn't justify my spending. rclxub.gif

As long as your credit is in favor, I don't see why not.
If you are around KL/Selangor, walk in to the card center, you probably can get the card on the spot after 1 hour. I did it that way.
*
Perfect.

I have two silly questions (excuse me as I'm still new to cc as well, less than a year):

1. After/reaching card expiry date, will bank automatically renew our card or we need to call them to renew and do they need all documents again (payslip, ic, epf) ?

2. After using our card for few months, suddenly we get fired and don't have any work/salary, will bank take back the card or we can use it as usual ?

Advice to apply M2C 1st, later only get Ikhwan becos Ikhwan is most difficult to get  CC. M2C you can CB on anything you Spend on Weekends not limited to Petrol & Groceries only like Ikhwan.
*
Any reason why Ikhwan is the most difficult to get? hmm.gif

3. Card required for: mainly for petrol, grocery and bill payment.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): cimb petronas.

6. Others: i spend mostly on petrol, so that is my main concern. grocery on weekends, and bill payment at the end of the month. dining, shopping and entertainment occasionally. i would like to replace my existing card if there is a better one.

Thanks!
*
If you spend a lot on petrol at Petronas, can apply for Petronas Ikhwan. 8% CB for any purchase at Petronas on weekends.

Combo the Petronas Ikhwan with M2Cards (for everything else on weekends, 5% CB). icon_rolleyes.gif

Maybank ikhwan good for petrol n groceries for Friday and Saturday

EPP highly recommend PBB quantum, any single transaction above 1200 can go for 0% 12 mths flexi pay, no matter what merchant. Confirm zero charges.
*
Please correct me if I'm wrong. The EPP for PBB Quantum is regardless of any merchant and any mode of payment (online spent and physical card swipe), yes ?

If it is, I might apply for it as well. hmm.gif

Yes, any retail transaction will do. U swipe 1st, wait it posted on your unbilled transaction, then u can call to CS to convert.
*
Perfect. Meanwhile, it is based on approval or it will be processed as long as criteria is met?

Note: Below suggestion is meant for Petronas ONLY.

Guys, perhaps you guys can also have a look on CIMB Petronas: https://www.cimbbank.com.my/en/personal/pro...mastercard.html

Personally, for Petrol specific purposes, I combo CIMB Petronas with MBB Petronas. CIMB gives 3% CB for statement balance below RM3k and 7% CB for statement balance above RM3k capped at RM50/month. You'll get CB regardless of anyday you spent on petrol at Petronas.

Meanwhile, during weekends, I'll use MBB Petronas which gives 8% CB capped at RM50/month. Both of these card can provide max RM100 CB per month on Petrol alone.

Good day to all,

1. Annual Income: RM20K to RM40K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably

3. Card required for: Petrol & telecommunication (Uber/Grab driver with petrol expenses up to approx. RM1,000/mth)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): None

5. Interested in CC from: All

6. Others: Prefer cash back over reward points.

Thank You.

This suggestion is for Petronas only (my personal preference to max out Cash Rebate for Petrol):

MBB Petronas Ikhwan - 8% CB for purchase at any Petronas station nationwide on weekends only.

Combo it with:

CIMB Petronas - 3% CB for purchase at any Petronas station nationwide on any day.

Both cards Cash Rebate is capped at RM50/month hence you'd be able to get RM100 Cash Rebate if you max out this two.

On weekends, use the MBB card and on weekdays use CIMB card.

Of course you'll need to sort out your income prior to applying for the credit card.
