I hardly use for lounge because I always travel in business, so lounge is provided.  blush.gif
However, if I need to, I used to use CIMB TWE PPF but now UOB mostly for normal PPL. I travel from KLIA most of the time, hardly from KLIA2.

nice man, CIMB TWE too overpowered for me haha. will apply the petronas VI first, and see how.

It was CIMB TWE before the revision, now UOB (for KF) and Alliance VI (EM), but again it got revised. I forgot that I also have the AmEx KF Plat for KrisFlyer.

It depends, some don’t allow so have to cancel. Some banks may retain, some may not. So apply again next time.

Is anyone using UOB World Card at the moment? Seems like it’s quite fast to gain points where 12x on ewallet top up and 5x on selected hypermarkets.

12x is only limited to RM300. Given you would only chase points for airmiles, this is pretty much useless.

Alliance VCC would be a better one for now at 8x TBP capped at RM3k.

Yes, if you aims for lounge access, AEON Gold is very easy, just make sure you spend RM500 30 days before / after lounge access.

The following don't have lounge access, but give you cb looking at your spending pattern:
Bank Islam Platinum - dining, grocery, online (utilities > POS Online > SPlater > cc)
Affin DUO - autobill (Insurance)

Bank Rakyat Explorer Platinum - lounge access, cb for hotels / airlines.

Affin DUO - 3% cb capped at RM30, e-wallet, autobill
Bank Islam Platinum - 3% cb capped at RM30 - online, dining, grocery (no restriction to which supermarket).
Affin DUO+ - 3% cb capped at RM50, contactless spend (can use in any supermarket as long as you keep each charge < RM250)

1. Annual Income: RM180K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably, but wouldn't mind if it isn't too expensive?

3. Card required for: cash back/rebate, petrol and lounge access

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
PB Quantum Visa and MC
PB Visa Signature
Maybank 2 Premier

5. Interested in CC from: 1 card for cash back + 1 card for lounge access, or an all in one card will be perfect too.

6. Others:
M2P was offered to me with 3 years free AF ending this December therefore I am looking to replace this card.
I’d also like to do some housekeeping as I’ve been using my Quantum cards for a long time. I understand that many of the benefits have been reduced, but I’m still using them. sweat.gif

average monthly spending,
petrol (petronas) - 150
utilities - 200
online spending - 300
retail/shopping (non-grocery) - 1000
dining - 1000

I will be more than happy with a card with heavy cashback + lounge access abroad since I don’t think I spend enough to benefit from air miles.

I think it is a good idea for you to drop HSBC and UOB:

HSBC Travel One - poor MPR especially local spend, sketchy PPL coverage.
UOB World - af waiver only if you hit RM 50K retail spend, poor MPR, i know there is the 125,000 UNIRM bonus points but you really need to follow a set of spend pattern (example e-wallet, grocery, local / overseas spend) too much hassle, PPL coverage only Malaysia.

In terms of PPL, your Alliance, Ambank and Maybank cards should cover you quite comfortably, if you are not a frequent flyer or fly to specific continent (like China, than you may want to consider cards example UOB Visa Infinite, has a lot of coverage in China).

Your next question is, what type of flyer miles program you want to focus on AirAsia, Qatar, British Airways, Cathay, Batik, SIA or MAS? Answer may vary according to flyer miles program.

Example:
(a) If you choose Enrich, then I would suggest HLB Visa Infinite:
Dining gives you RM 1 to 1 enrich point
Travel & Retail Shoopping RM 4 to 1 enrich point
Ohter spend RM 6 to 1 enrich point.

Please be mindful, if you renovation is paid via FPX/Jompay or subject to easy payment plan, likely you won't get any points. See this---> *Eligible Transactions (both local and international) EXCLUDE all Government/JomPay/ FPX transactions, QR Pay transactions via HLB Connect App, Cash Advances, Quasi Cash (betting and gaming related transactions), Quick Cash, Flexi Payment Plan, Auto Balance Conversion (ABC), Balance Transfers and any fees, and charges.

(b) If you choose SIA, then I would suggest MBB KrisFlyer (Annual Fee Waived for 1st year only)
7,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles on first card spend
*Applicable to only new first-time applicants of the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express® Credit Card
1 KrisFlyer mile for every RM 2.5 spent locally
1 KrisFlyer mile for every RM2 spent on online and overseas transactions
1 KrisFlyer mile for every RM1 spent on Singapore Airlines, Scoot & KrisShop website
