1. Annual Income: RM30K to RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate, Utilities bills. And improve CTOS score (trying to get a good impression on the bank for future loans)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nil

5. Interested in CC from: Citibank / Maybank

6. Others: Please be specific. I will be using the CC for above payments only. And maybe 0% installment plans. I have a good payment with my car CCM, but since i just started to pay my PTPTN loans 3 months ago. My CTOS score is not so good (still waiting for it to improve). I am not sure if i am blacklisted or not though for now

Forget about Citibank.

If you're not holding a card from another bank for more than 1 year, they'll be reluctant to approve.

For maybank, 30k is the bare minimum.

Since you already have car loan and ptptn, quite tough to get approved actually.

UOB and cimb is known to be rather lenient.

Why don't you try out this 2 instead?

So far still acceptable, OK if u live in KL. Most of Online Store (the Ang-mo punya) eBay, Amazon, PayPal, Book Depository also Accept Amex.
U can pay your Billing with 2Amex via Maybank2U to earn CB as I also do the Same & Most of my CB are from Utilities Bill.
*
I was just scrolling through reading some info and found this which caught my attention.

Do you mean if we pay TNB and water bill using 2Amex via M2U on weekends can get 5% CB ?

What about Astro, TM, Telco (Celcom, Maxis, etc) ?

My Petronas Ikhwan just got approved and after reading this, somehow I'm regretting didn't ask here first.

EDIT: I'm assuming we can also use 2Amex for petrol and groceries on weekend and get 5% CB ?

If this is true, my Petronas Ikhwan doesn't justify my spending. rclxub.gif

CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard.

Since you're not having Credit History from any Bank before, Citibank won't Approve their card to you as they want ppl with at least 1 year credit History & most of their Cards come with Annual Fee .

As long as your credit is in favor, I don't see why not.
If you are around KL/Selangor, walk in to the card center, you probably can get the card on the spot after 1 hour. I did it that way.
