2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: Airmiles, Overseas Transactions and Airport Lounges

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank 2 Card AMEX Reserve

5. Interested in CC from: AmBank Enrich Visa Infinite

6. Others: I have been looking for a card to replace the Maybank 2 Card since they devalued TreatsPoints, wondering if AmBank Enrich is the one to go with, would appreciate if there are better cards to recommend. I'm a frequent flyer on MAS.

Either Ambank Enrich or Alliance Visa Infinite should be good for you. Nowadays there are not many good cards for miles accumulation, these are consider among the better ones.

I spent around 2k on groceries every month. I maxed out my UOB one card cashback for groceries and maybank M2U AMEX 5% weekend cashback. Any other card recommendation that can get cashback on groceries shopping?
*
Maybe pbb vs if you don’t mind the 3% and RM30 per month cap. The trx needs to be at least RM100 to be eligible for Cashback.

Hi sifus, I have 2 requests in 1 post. Appreciate the help smile.gif

Myself:
1. Annual Income: RM150K+

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably, can consider waiver with minimum swipe

3. Card required for:
Petrol via Setel ~ RM300
Groceries ~ RM500 (but nowadays i used Gxbank for the 1% cashback and grab points at Jaya Grocer)
Utility bill (TNB/Unifi/Telco) ~ RM800
Dining ~ RM1,800 (I eat out alot)
Online shopping (Lazada/Shopee) ~ quite frequent, amount differs every month

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
CIMB cash rebate platinum = mainly for Setel and overseas spend (holiday or online overseas purchase due previous good experience with CIMB Fraud CS)
PB Visa Signature = for everything else except for above

5. Interested in CC from:
UOB One (For Dining only, Petrol to use CIMB cash rebate platinum or Maybank Petronas and my other spendings to use PB Visa Sig)
Maybank Islamic Petronas Ikhwan Visa Platinum Card-i bcs no min spend required (To replace CIMB cash rebate platinum for petrol purchase)

6. Others:
I dont travel alot, so i dont really need perks like travel lounges etc.
I dont use e-wallet.
Interested to know if i can do better but i find it hard to replace CIMB cash rebate platinum due to my previous good experience with CIMB Fraud CS

*Btw, I signed up for PB Visa Sig based on recommendation given here back in 2021 and it has been great. Really appreciate the work you all are putting in here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
My partner:
1. Annual Income: RM60k+

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably, can consider waiver with minimum swipe

3. Card required for:
Online shopping (Lazada/Shopee) ~ quite frequent, amount differs every month
Weekday dining ~RM400

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
None

5. Interested in CC from:
UOB One

6. Others:
Mainly for online shopping only
*
Get the MBB 2Card Amex for weekend spending. Assuming you go to those chain supermarket for groceries. There is a huge chance that it accepts Amex.

For online spending I would highly recommend Maybank Ikhsan Amex.

1. Annual Income: >RM 200k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable.

3. Card required for: mainly for airmiles ,

4. Existing credit cards (if any):  MAYBANK 2 premier( annual spending exceed 80k) for waiver

5. Interested in CC from: open to any

6. Others: I am currently overseas with occasional overseas spending , will apply supplementary for my parents as well.
They mainly use for petrol, dining and occasional retail spending.

My goal is for airmiles but open to other cards for the best outcome . Gone are the good old days.

I know M2P miles has been devalued and redeeming points has been a blow to the nuts.

Thank you for the advise sifuuuss.
*
Alliance Visa Infinite for Enrich Miles
Citibank Prvi Miles Elite
Ambank Enrich Visa Infinite for Enrich Miles

Gone are the days where miles are easy to earn. These cards are generally the better ones in terms for miles accumulation but they aren’t great either.

Affin Duo should suit your spending habit then. But you have to pay RM50 a year for sst as it can’t be waived.

If you pump shell or PETRONAS on weekends, get the mbb Amex. Nowadays all cards come with a cap impossible to find one without cap.

Petrol just about thousand per month. What about local grocery spending about at least 60K per month? Any reward point for airmiles good for that?
*
You can check out Alliance Visa Infinite then which gives out 5x points for grocery spending. However, they are only affiliated with enrich miles. 15k TBP = 1k enrich miles.

Hi sifus,

Planning for a travel trip, looking for a credit card which can get high cashback / points for online booking (AirAsia, Agoda, Booking.com, Klook, etc)

Already have MBB Ikhwan AMEX, Affin DUO, and RHB Shell, any other cards good for online purchases?

Considering PBB Visa Signature, but don't quite like PBB because they seem to keep changing their cashback policy..
*
What about MBB Amex 2 Card. Just plan your purchases on the weekends. Another card that you may take into consideration is Ambank Enrich Visa Infinite that gives 1 Enrich Point for every RM1 spent on airlines.

Another is Alliance Visa Infinite that gives 8x TBP for online purchases. 15k TBP = 1000 Enrich Points.

Yes I checked Alliance Visa Infinite hotel booking is under online category and is capped at 3k per statement cycle, whereas for Ambank Enrich Visa Infinite is considered as normal retail spending.

Just wondering if there is any better card out there for hotel booking purposes.

1. Annual Income: RM100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Prefer to have, or those can waive upon calling customer service

3. Card required for: (1) Good for miles redemption  ; (2) Lounge access to share with one family member if possible

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Public Bank Visa Signature, Hong Leong GSC Platinum, UOB One Card

5. Interested in CC from: Any that fits

6. Others:
Currently look at few namely:

1) UOB Privi Miles/Miles Elite/Visa Signature - UOB generally earn 10 point for every RM1, but the Air Miles is 1,000 miles for 10,000 points.

2) HLB GSC - Airasia Miles is 1,000 miles for 9,000 while Enrich is 1,000 for 24,000

3) PBB Visa Signature - Airasia Miles is 2,000 miles for 10,000 while Enrich is 1,000 for 10,000.    But it seems PBB Visa Signature is harder to collect points as dining are already eligible for CashBack.

4) HSBC - Abit confusing as different they have different Reward Catalogue but they didnt specify which card is entitle to which Catalogue.
Appreciate some sifus introduce some good miles redemption card for 2025. icon_rolleyes.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

Check out Alliance Visa Infinite - Online and eWallet grants you 8x TBP, capped at 3k TBP per category per statement cycle. 15k TBP = 1k Enrich Miles
OR Ambank Enrich Visa Infinite which grants you 1 Enrich Miles for every RM4 spent locally.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Alliance VI

5. Interested in CC from: Hong Leong Visa Infinite

6. Others: My priority is to accumulate miles points and for most of my usage Alliance VI works, except for petrol about RM600 a month. So im trying look for a card that can maximize for petrol. Also i mostly fuel Caltex. And I prefer not to use the auto-top up feature if using Setel.
*
Get the Maybank 2 card Amex if you can schedule your petrol transactions on weekends. I remember Caltex do support Amex if I am not mistaken please correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi all, looking for any recommendation to existing CC
Main priority is for cashback

1. Annual Income: RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably or with waiver

3. Card required for: Cashback

4. Existing credit cards (if any): maybank 2 plat

5. Interested in CC from: Any

6. Others: Every month already max out CB for amex card. Feel im missing out on more cashback as alot of spending using Visa card (about 1-2k on visa card, 1k for insurance, others general spending)
Also getting abit fed up and tired of getting Amex rejected everywhere.
If theres one card that can pay all and get similar cashback as amex also dont mind to terminate the amex.
Prefer card which dont have those tier for spending, makes it more mafan to calculate
*
For insurance you can use Affin Duo.
Another card you can take into consideration is Amex Ikhwan card if you shop a lot at Shopee or Lazada. You can also use it for some online bill payment too.
