Looking for a card with unlimited cash back as I'm charging a car on it... perfer those high %% Cash back with no cap limit monthly..

I've got my HLB Fortune which i already maxed out the $108,000 annual limit.
*
Hlb essential.

If you can swipe amex, go for the American express cash back gold credit card. 1% unlimited.

But actually essential is good enough la. You only miss out on the first 5000, whereby the first 5000 is 0.6% but above 5000 still 1% unlimited.

Maybank barcelona for another 2%. These few cards don't have low forex charge but offset by their rebate.

1. Annual Income: RM30K to RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate Only

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Hong Leong Essential

5. Interested in CC from: CIMB Cash Rebate or Ambank Bonuslink

6. Others: Contemplating between both. My cc is mainly for petrol. Retail purchase if amount >RM70. My monthly spending is not much: For petrol, twice a month @ Rm55. Other purchase, about Rm300-ish, mostly eateries, some is cash only transaction. Will be applying for Bonuslink (using Shell petrol) and that is why I'm not sure which is more worth it, point redemption for petrol (with Ambank Bonuslink can earn more points) or cashback.
*

*
Maybank 2 card. Pump petrol during weekend.

Uob one card.

Btw, off topic but if you want better 'rebate' for every $ worth of petrol you pump, i think you should consider other brand. Unless you use bonuslink a lot aside from shell.

QUOTE(amirinz @ Nov 14 2018, 10:53 AM)

6. Others: This will be my first credit card, looking for something to supplement my fuel consumption(i drive a lot around rm300-400 just for fuel) and maybe low interest rates for any emergency expenditures.

1. Annual Income: 85k+

2. Annual Fee: Can waive

3. Card required for:

a) Paying overseas professional exam in foreign currency via online (ie not swiping terminal). Looking for card with more than x1 points per RM or high cashback % as exam is quite expensive after convert.
b) Buying kitchen cabinet, furniture and home electronics. From physical shop and lazada/shopee. Preferable if card can give more than x1 points per RM or good cashback as this is a one-off outflow for a few years use (for new house).
c) Recurring large annual expenditure from biggest to small is on grabfood/foodpanda, car insurance, car service, internet, petrol and cukai pintu & other gomen services. If can get x1 point on these is superb already.
d) Point Rate or cashback % is the same every day, but if not, still ok. Not prefer card where some month only got large additional reward or cashback.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): None, making first credit card in light of exams and home reno.

5. Interested in CC from: Any

6. Others: Prefer for points to be redeem to online voucher or e-wallet top ups. Lounge and low interest rate borrowing not so important.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): BigPay?.

6. Others: Just started working so I'm looking for a CC with good CB mainly for petrol and groceries and hopefully 0% installment plans for online purchases or whatnot.

Thanks in advance.

Public bank quantum - they have the 0% if you spend above 1200. Plus online got 5% cash rebate

Maybank 2 card amex - weekends only (not all brands of petrol at all petrol station accepts amex, but petronas/shell definitely can)
Maybank islamic ikhwan - friday saturday

When purchasing something, do understand clearly the t&c of 0% installment. These 0% may come with upfront fee. So it is not totally no cost. Cheers.

Hi everyone, need some suggestion here...

1. Annual Income: RM 300k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes..also can consider waiver with condition ie number of swipe or spending etc...

3. Card required for: the following is my fixed expenses that being pay through existing cc monthly;
    -medical card 500
    -life insurance 450
    -astro 200
    -mobile+internet 250
    -tnb+syabas 200
    -fuel ~500
and also been using cc for shoping, groceries and online purchase with total expenses around 1k-2k

4. Existing credit cards (if any): CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum, Maybank Ikhwan Petronas Visa Platinum, Ambank Visa Infinite (plan to terminate), AEON Platinum

5. Interested in CC from: - Initially looking at SC JOP, but seems like after 2nd year, no waiver on annual fee....so not sure what is the next best option

6. Others: Interested in Cash Back , Freebies & Promotion, Points

Thanks in advance!
*
If you need even more for grocery, i suggest maybank visa signature. For JOP am not sure about fee waiver but other scb card generally ok for annual fee waiver.

If all these still not enough. Maybank barcelona

Question too broad. Travel means earn miles to redeem air ticket? Travel on airasia? Maybank2 card premier or hong leong air asia?

Use when travelling abroad? Bigpay gives good exchange rate although not a credit card

QUOTE(Alert_RaZO @ Dec 6 2019, 03:52 PM)

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No annual fees

3. Card required for: High credit limit

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank 2 & citi clear

5. Interested in CC from:

6. Others: Must be Visa, FPX list bank. Use alot in ewallet, online shopping...Best that got frequent voucher from lazada & shoepee

Which bank easy to apply using Grab income or income tax form.
*
Quantum cards, master and visa. Uob yolo visa.

QUOTE(shaqqie @ Dec 7 2019, 03:46 AM)
1. Annual Income: RM72K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not a must.

3. Card required for: Trying to limit to business trip expenses only (eg : hotels, cash Advance, car rentals, restaurants, etc.)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nil.

5. Interested in CC from: UOB and HSBC

6. Others: I heard about HSBC and AMEX are charging crazy high interest rate. Although the interest and fee are paid by the company, I don't want to burden them also. So, CC with a moderate interest rate and charges is more preferable. And high credit limit !
*
All banks charges almost the same interest rate. If you pay on time, it is not something that you need to worry.

You do know once you take cash advance, interest rate on it is super high right and immediate. Not something to be encouraged.

If want to withdraw cash when overseas, do consider bigpay or your own debit card.

For general use, suggest maybank barcelona vs. If want high credit limit, stan chart. Consider liverpool card

From your own list some small edit

Citibank cash back - better dont choose platinum. Non platinum version might be better

Hsbc - i think effective return from this card rather not as high

Add: maybank visa signature (your grocery and petrol only 700 a month but you can concentrate those 2 items to this card if you go for this)

OR

Add: maybank 2 card platinum (you can focus other spending during weekend

OR

Add: Stan chart liverpool or justone platinum. Liverpool gives cash back on most item except petrol and insurance. Justone give on other items. I feel stan chart requires abit more effort since it is tier base. maybank barcelona less complicated

QUOTE(CheerL @ Jan 5 2020, 10:06 AM)
1. Annual Income: 45k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Best to have or at least got waiver

3. Card required for: Cashback preferred but also points acceptable for, mostly spend on groceries and petrol

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank Gold 2 Cards

5. Interested in CC from: any bank

6. Others: I plan to cancel my Maybank 2 Card Visa this year and only hold on to my AMEX, so I'm looking for any cards (VISA or/and Master) that I could spend any day on and still receive generous amount of cashback or points

thank you
*
I'm not sure if maybank allows cancellation of the 2 card visa/master.

Try uob one card. Weekend only for the 5% rebate for petrol and grocery but grocery is on certain brands only

Look into public bank quantum visa. Grocery can just wave.

Do you mean to add on to my current cards of use those instead? Citi plat seems to have higher motherly cap despite higher minimum spend (which i'm quite likely to hit)
*
Depends on your spending pattern. I mean add as in, to add on to the list of cards you are considering.

You have done your homework. Just saying you can also consider a few more which gives you better cash back return in terms of %.

I still think maybank the best given you can hit the income for visa signature as well. Give you more room and flexibility to consider more cards.
