Don't use a credit card to pay LHDN as you need to pay 0.8% surcharge.

None of local credit cards is giving cashback or reward to Government-related transactions as our Governments are paying very minimal or FOC (debit) for Visa/Mastercard transactions.
*
I paid using MBB FCB several years back when it gives 10%..good old times. Surprisingly it is not excluded, not sure about now.

Fair enough. Forgot to mention I prefer Islamic cards. Amended my earlier post.

In that case PBB Islamic Visa and Mastercard Plat would be useful

1. Annual Income: 96k-120k

2. Free Lifetime Annual: Optional

3. Card required for: List all your needs. Overseas Transaction (Mainly), Petrol

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nil
Dear Sifu. I'm looking for a credit card for overseas transactions. Mainly, will be using it to pay softwares subscriptions on a monthly basis, est $1000 per month. Appreciate if any sifus can recommend the best credit card for it! Thank you!
*
Look at cards that give cashback for online transactions (PBB VS, PBB Quantum MC, PBB-i Visa Plat, Affin Duo Visa) provided the payments can be made separately. MBB VS gives CB for petrol but has AF. If you are using petronas, just use Setel. Else may take a look at MBB2 cards too.

I meant to apply for the card itself

I seldom need to submit my epf for card applications, unless specifically stated as compulsory. Find one that just require 3 months payslip.

Hi sifus, I am thinking to apply my first ever credit card with AEON BiG Visa Classic Card.
Citibank, CIMB, HSBC, Maybank have rejected me (applied for their most basic credit cards). Likewise, I do not have any loan records or outstanding debts.

Annual Income: Rm42,000 per month

Perhaps anyone has any opinion would it better to apply online or rather in person at the booth (aeon supermarket mid valley mall). Which way works better or almost the same actually?
Likewise, is it true Aeon cc are easier for approval? Sorry to ask silly questions. appreciate it very much sifus. tqtq
*
To answer your question, applying directly from the Aeon Credit customer service counter would be better.

May not be the card that fit all your requirement, but perhaps have a look at Public Bank Quantum Visa and MasterCard. Can cover online purchases/bill payment and dining/grocery above RM30. For petrol, use setel or buy petrol vouchers.

EDIT: Saw some thread back there's another recommendation - Public Islamic Bank Visa Platinum - 4% online
