Hi guys, may I know that will my personal credit profile be affected in future if I keep repeating apply/cancel credit card just for gift/voucher?

Hi guys, currently I'm holding 2 credit card (from 2 different bank). Wish to apply my 3rd credit card (another bank), but my application have been rejected by 2 banks. I did meet requirement of annual salary stated by most of banks & hv a good card payment records based on ccris report. Does anyone know how bank actually determine the credit card approval? based on total number of cards owned, or total credit limit or number of banks?

Yup, annual salary exceed than 36k. Current total credit limit (2 cards) = 13k+7k= 20k.
- Good ccris report records (Clear off card bill before end of month (before 30th)).
- 1 card cancelation within same year (could this be the issue?)

- Public Bank Quantum 2 (Visa + Mastercard for Cashback, though it seems like people only use the Visa one and cancel the Mastercard?)

Currently eyeing on the Public Bank 2 card.
But I think I need more cards to maximize by cashback.

I have Maybank Barcelona VS signature for my gym membership and insurance, I wonder is there any better card for all these auto debit thingy?
