QUOTE(Vigilant @ Feb 9 2017, 11:21 PM) I've been testing these range of graphics cards GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 970 4GB & RX 480 8GB. I must say 970 or 1060 all the way if you could get the price right, because RX 480 in Malaysia is already expensive anyway. DirectX12 is just overrated, games look just the same in DirectX11. 1060 3GB version? Sounds good right?

QUOTE(sniperz @ Feb 9 2017, 11:35 PM) 1060 3GB version? Sounds good right? Good enough but there are games nowadays have textures that requires more than 4GB VRAM, here is why, http://www.techspot.com/review/1263-gears-...r-4-benchmarks/The article shows that there is a degrade visual quality due to lack of VRAM. Maybe for now, games are not really demanding, but I'm just thinking for a long term of usage up to 3 years when purchasing a card.

QUOTE(ave666 @ Jan 17 2017, 08:45 AM) After reading some reviews about rx480 vs gtx 1060 vs gtx 1070, I opt to GTX 1070 for long term upgrade, but I don't want upgrade my CPU maybe till 2020. And there's bottleneck list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EQO...0DOFXKfzCmz9lEZ . http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-31928...king-guide.html . I can't find any benchmark using i5 4690. Is any game will achieve 60+ fps using 1080p 60hz monitor? Yeah if you can afford the 1070 then definitely go for that one as it's in another class.
