definitely not in China.
yes in other country where Uber is still alive.

Then it look like the only way is to get taxi from roadside when travelling in China.
Ahh.. sound difficult.

So usually how you guys settle the transport when travelling in China? Mind to share?

That's in April. In August, Uber sold their China operations to Didi. It was in the news.

Possible for us to use Didi in China under roaming condition?

Didi Dache

China's version of Uber.
*
haha.. made Uber illegal and then make Didi Dache legal.
Both app basically offer the same things. biggrin.gif

I guess Didi Dache is very not foreigner-friendly. Not sure we can use there or not.
If Uber sure no problem.

Anyone have experience using Didi Dache in China?

Uber ceased operation on early December and become uber didi something like that

Program only in Chinese coz only new takeover

U can take their taxi, their taxi strictly uses meter
Don't take taxi without driver info display on dashboard, those are cari makan

If u are in tourist area, those cari makan will be infested there, just walk abit further to get others taxi

Don't ask how much, then they will give u a price instead off using meter knowing you are not local

I plan to try using Didi app when i reach there, hopefully it can work.
Worry during morning and evening peak hours difficult to get taxi from roadside.

Yeah one more thing
Uber didi only works with Union pay, alipay and wechat pay

Msia credit card/master visa won't work there for now
*
Possible to pay by cash like Uber and grabcar in Malaysia?

You can use wechat there to hail for taxi.

Chinese wechat are more advance than us. But make sure you have local credit card and +86 phone number
*
So we should go there and install wechat?
Why need local phone number?
