To all inteler and ex inteler,

I heard Intel offer 3k for fresh graduate rclxm9.gif but their annually increase the is like 1-3% vmad.gif and very likely will get promoted because there is a tan of senior waiting to get promoted but still carrying junior post... where work till 30yrs old still carry like rm4k per month. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

So is Intel consider the lowest pay company in Penang compare to Lumiled,Osram, flex, renesas,Agilent and many more. bangwall.gif bangwall.gif ranting.gif

Intel is just a name but it is nothing if compare to other MNC? : whistling.gif

This is the life for most of the employees, if we really want to be doing good financially, start doing own business.
There are people who make it to the top in the world of employment, just that the possibility is not that high.

My friends who worked in Intel all get sent to US for many times, each time for more than a month. For salary part, I have no idea but I don't think it's that low. They got like 5K in the first 2 years after graduated already.

RM 3K for fresh grads is consider very good already compared to other jobs.
There are tons of fresh grads in Penang still receiving Rm 1800 to Rm 2200 for their 1st Job.

Annual increment for most of the MNC is ~ 1 to 5% unless u r promoted. To get a better pay, you may jump to another company after 2 years.

Wasn't high enough for a fresh graduate with 0 experience? I would take this chance as I could learn and get experience while gaining 3k (I assume is basic only).
My colleague still getting paid 2k basic as a fresh graduate. Which I think 3k is quite high, after a year or two, I just jump the ship and demand for higher salary from other firm. cool2.gif

3k for fresh graduate is good enough.. just hope they will revise your salary based on current year situation. mayb can get around 5% - 10%..
or you can take 1 years experience and jump out to other company that can offer > 30% increment. thumbup.gif

Intel has high level/high skillsets jobs and low level /low skillsets job.
If you're in the low level/low skillsets job , don't expect much

You need to keep self-improve and climb to higher position to get good increment of salary. If you just work like normal, don't expect to get high increment. These MNC are very competitive.

If i am not mistaken, Intel Bayan Lepas is mostly R&D work. My friend has to discuss with his US colleagues over skype on weekly basis.

Intel Kulim is the factory.

Lets say if R&D or production matters when it comes to salary.....doesn't the R&D guys should be paid more? I would assume that intel would hire deans list fresh grads to work in their r&d dept....the creame de la creame. As opposed to the production guys in the kulim factory.

But most of the semiconductor industries in Penang starting pay are 3k oso, some can even reach 3.6k. Haha I think for fresh graduate better join other semiconductor industries instead of Intel.

Fresh grad 3k? Sounds like they haven't revise the salary since my time (~2004-2005-ish)

But that is already good enough offer for freshies, even for IT since IT is just support business there, not the core business. Take it as a learning opportunity, to get that valuable experience in your resume.

After 2 years or so, cabut to KL or elsewhere.

TS, Intel are one of the better company in PG. They and Alterra used to be the top 2 competitor for talent, until ALTR is acquired by intel.

THey have good benefits and compensation

And no you will not still be with 4K after working 30 years. Lol

Most companies haven't revised fresh grad salary for that matter. No need to. Fresh grads supply applenty.
