I'm the house leader of a rented unit. I rented the unit together with 6 other people. Recently, some of these people had to move out because of reasons and we couldn't find replacements for all of them. So seeing as the rental will be too much for us to handle, we decided to forfeit the contract that is only signed between me and the landlady. Term of forfeit would include the landlady claiming the 2.5 months deposit. Everyone was okay with that except one stubborn tenant who won't move out for another 2 months because he claims "that he's paying for it" with the deposits. Right now he's refusing to budge. I need help guys. Is there something i can do t get him to leave? Can he take legal action against me even though he isn't involved in the tenancy contract in the first place? should i get the police involved? SOS!!

QUOTE(ahpooki @ Dec 27 2016, 06:24 PM) if you did not sign any thing with your sub-tenant, then you can just move out. he'd be considered trespassing ... but wont be so nice to have your landlord deal with this problem lo.. my issue exactly, i like my landlord (said no one ever), she's really nice so im hoping i can sort this thing out without involving her
