QUOTE(MakNok @ Dec 26 2016, 10:03 AM)
Which is good thing..
It keep Celcom.. DiGi on toes.. To the extent even MaxiS come into play but as always.. Take their own sweet time.

UMobile I am sure with new assigned extra band will roll out ASAP to capture Lion share of the market.

Celcom and Maxis ..the way I see..interested in those high earning folks rather  than mass consumer especially their postpaid.

DiGi and UMobile fighting head on for New Generation consumer for now.

Go go go UMobile...
And Digi
*
You're correct about Celcom and Maxis. Even if they lost their subs, their ARPU is still the same.

You have to test it yourself using prepaid. Use speedtest.net and fast.com

For prepaid, let say i toup rm20 then subscribe to Umi20, since the validity only last for first 20days, what happen in the last 10days? Data, call n sms wise
*
Better use up your free high speed internet quota first, after that, last 5 days of your validity then you buy UMI

telco like postpaid and prepaid customers, but two different behavior smile.gif

good to lock customers with postpaid, monthly recurring income and sometime more with vas/voice/sms/etc usages. problem: revenue is delayed. billed invoice is not considered revenue until customer pays them. then only the payment is captured as revenue. a lot of ppl not paying bills is not good for telco's cashflow.

prepaid has higher sub base. still 80:20 ratio or already lesser 75:25? still, more sub base means more faster revenue. why faster revenue? sub top-up already considered revenue. fast and easy money. however, this soon to be changed with new MFRS15 whereby unusued credit should not be considered revenue, even for postpaid topup. that's why even GST may take this approach by going with usage-based GST (you use how much, GST is applied to that usage, and revenue is recognized from that usage). buying more top-up will not be considered direct revenue. good for telco because they dont need to keep chasing you to pay bills! LOL~ you dont top-up, your number/prepaid expired. so, prepaid subs keep topping up just to keep the line alive. very tedious to maintain, better go for postpaid, some might say.

Explain MFRS15 pls.

I think this is only for VIP numbers. Other than that, P70 is cheaper and P98 is yet better.

P/S: Go for its contract, then after contract, MNP out and in again to retain the VIP number. Something like this laa..

wont kill la umobile still offer unlimited quota on youtube midnight stream and it support more platform on videoonz while digi only support youtube as their stream free.

I'm a little bit disagree. Digi's all offering rite now are better than U Mobile except for prepaid monthly data

for now yes, but i doubt that the game will change very soon since umobile are planning to refresh their plan very soon smile.gif

Agree, but U Mobile is little too late now.
Digi Postpaid 50 is slightly better than P50 while Digi Postpaid 110 is almost far better than P98 since there's unlimited weekend quota(999GB).
Digi BB60 is better than P50 and BB68 is better than P70 and P98 for data wise. U Mobile's broadband long time no see, especially plan revamps..
