U Mobile Internet is getting worse, in the past two weeks or so. Very patchy and slow. Even load twitter also cannot.  I live so near to MidValley, not like in the middle of jungle.  ranting.gif  mad.gif  bangwall.gif

Gonna terminate my p98, and use webe broadband 59 as home internet instead.

Same youtube always buffering. Download song 3mb also takes 10 minutes. I am thinking of Digi Broadband RM60 (15gb + 10gb youtube regardless of 3g or 4g) and Webe (RM59 but 4g only)..

if make call, it will deduct from creditshare account or umi quota?

creditshare treated like normal credit, so in your case UMI minutes will be deducted first

Im in Singapore currently, with Power prepaid plan, roaming with U Data Roaming RM10/day. Problem is the data is capped at 500MB with their FUP, once hit, the speed will be around 40kbps. Is there anyway i can topup the high speed quota?

I asked forumer here and he/she confirmed that those who subscribe before 1 march would continue to get 30 GB after the promotion period has ended. I also checked with two webe representatives on live chat and they confirmed the same thing.

I know Webe's FAQ is very confusing and vague. I don't quite understand what they mean. I thought, it means after 1 March, quota for everyone would revert to 10GB, irrespective of sign up date.

You can switch to Power, fee is RM3, all freebies and subscription will be forfeited, and initial validity reset to 10 days from switching date.

UMI 30 and 50 now promo 3x data
UMI 30 offers 10 GB data for RM 30, plus 30 mins free call, it's a good deal

Is it possible to sign up for U-mobile postpaid plan (for example P70) and then terminate after one month? Will there be any penalties or extra charges?

I have an upcoming project which requires me to be away from my home but still within Malaysia for the next 4-5 weeks. I also will be in Singapore for 5 days during this time. My current Celcom postpaid plan is great for me 90% of the time, but for this period, I need two things which the P70 is quite suitable to offer: 15GB amount of data at a relatively low cost, PLUS the Data backpack for me to use some of that data in my 5 days in Singapore. But after this period, I have no use at all for another postpaid plan.

Can I do this all for RM70, and terminate the account after one month without any penalties/hidden charges?

In theory yes. But bear in mind that you have to pay 1 month deposit upfront of signing up postpaid, and also first bill. So later when you cut off the line they will refund you the deposit.

Also as I know make sure you cut off before 1 month before, if you go into second month and leave umobile, they will charge 1 month fee and not prorate.

There is no option to port in directly into Power plan.
And you only port in directly into Unlimited Power plan, but I think you can able to switch back to Power plan by pay rm3 switching fee. (If I'm not wrong~ unsure.gif )

However, you cannot switch back to New U Prepaid plan. This is what I know basically their system~ whistling.gif

first, postpaid plan u have to active the Internation Roaming to enjoy the Data backpack, so u have to either

1. RM 300 deposit
2. auto debit with credit card
3. showing previous telco 2 months bill with roaming charge ( for mnp only )

to activate the Internation Roaming

basically,
1month usage ( new number )
1 Mar subscribe u have to pay RM 70 as 1 month deposit
31 Mar u terminate

so the correct bill without any extra charges would be [RM 70 (deposit) + RM 70 (1st-31 Mar 1 month usage ) + RM 3 itemized bill ( even u call to cancel they would only cancel on next bill ) ] +6% gst + RM 10 stamp duty

= 161.58 - 70 paid = 91.58 - 70 (deposit )
= RM 21.58 balance to settle
