Burst mode has nothing to do with your exposure settings.

Burst mode means the camera will do fast consecutive capture when you hold the shutter, it won't stop until your buffer gets filled or there is setting to configure.

Burst mode can be used regardless which exposure mode you are using (P, A, S, M).

You newbie? Maybe cause when u do burst mode, the camera will set to higher shutter speed so image tend to be sharper.

Try steady your hand, use S mode and then set it to at least 1/100, see if it has same result. Of course do it in good light.
