You can add Multiroom subscription for RM53/month (incl. GST), where you will get another Astro box to be installed in other room of your home.

Vinmeen HD is available on Family HD, no Need Maharaja pack also can. L I did not subscribe Maharaja pack but I am able to watch Vinmeen HD channel.

As I said before, Malaysia practices monopoly businesses. That's why those service providers tend to prioritise on money/profit, rather than customer's needs. In other words, they will find all sorts of ways to earn more money. Money first, customers second.

Yes you are absolutely right. But for Astro, they don't even care if there are minorities of customers dislikes Astro for whatsoever reasons, and some minorities even attempts to convince people to boycott Astro, to me this is wasting time. As long the graph/figures of number of subscribers keep on increasing and never drops, Astro aren't afraid of that. Don't talk about PPV, and don't forget that only Astro got most of the premium channels out there, such as documentaries, movies, sports, and also vernacular content, and it is so much different than Hypp TV.

Astro has been doing this since 1996, and it won't be easy for them to fall now.

What model of the Astro box is the previous owner using? If not sure, do attach the picture here.

FYI, usually you don't "pay" for the device, but you will need to pay for the installation fee whenever applicable. Even if you can sign up Astro (as new customer), your contract will still go on as it should be, which is 12 months for HD box, 24 months for PVR box/IPTV service.

As for new premium HD channel, tell that to Astro. More people suggest to Astro, the better.

As for Measat 3b, so far only Indonesia's pay TV called Transvision is using its bandwidth, besides Astro. There's still a lot more transponders is not yet being utilised. Out of 48 transponders, only 14 transponders is being utilised for pay TV now. Why? Because no one (pay tv or broadcasters) wants to rent/lease Measat 3b transponders. Also, Measat 3b is also meant to replace Measat 3 satellite which is going to retire in around 2020. By then, Astro channels from Measat 3 are more likely to move to Measat 3b.

Tbh, Astro is obviously taking their sweet time to launch HD channels on its platform. The biggest reason of all is because they are a monopoly company. No other active pay tv are competing with them, so for them it doesn't serve big advantage by launching so much HD channels at once, unless they're going to increase package price. See? When monopoly is there, it just won't progress. All they care is profit only.

Those channels you mentioned, plus with the attached pictures are encrypted with PowerVu system, and it is meant to distribute the channels to pay TV broadcasters or broadcasting studios to the entire Asia region (except Russia), Australia and eastern Africa. Not for us normal customers to watch it for "free". You may decrypt the channels for free because the encryption system has been compromised and can be easily decrypt manually by any compatible satellite receivers by entering 16 digit hexadecimal password.

Astro Malay channels on Measat 3a C band is meant to distribute to Singapore's pay TV, Starhub TV. You see Astro Ria, Warna, all that on Starhub TV. Those are not the actual ones you watch on Astro even the channel names are the same. It is a dedicated feed for Singapore. The programming and advertisements will be the biggest difference if you compare between the ones you watch on Astro and the ones on Measat 3a C band.

In simple words, Malaysia gov made parabolic dish illegal in Malaysia except Sarawak is all because of politics and money profit related. Or in other words, to protect Astro.
Protect Astro = More money for Astro = More money for government.

Yeah you need to subscribe to HD PVR service (RM26.50/month) to watch HD channels corresponding to the package. If you've subscribed only PVR service, then you need to upgrade it.

For example to enjoy Astro Supersport HD, you need to subscribe both Sports pack and HD-PVR Service.

From what I see is, Astro is seriously want to participate in Malaysian OTT platform market in Malaysia as well, besides Tonton, iflix, Hypp TV Everywhere, etc. Since Astro Go will provide exclusive content (means you won't be getting it on platforms other than Astro Go), providing Comedy Central and Aniplus channel exclusively on Astro Go may be one of it.

Well, Astro is trying something other than just satellite TV alone, which I find it good though.

But still for me, Astro Go is still a lot more needs to be improved, such as streaming quality (480p, 720p, 1080p), subtitles, aspect ratio, service/app reliability and stability, etc.

From what I see, I think Astro will take HD versions of both TV1 and TV2.

This is a very good news for Malaysia terrestrial TV channels, as we are in progress to HD broadcasting, for free.

Or, it could mean that no much Malay audiences are watching anime in Malay dub, and prefer original Japanese dub. Astro has ways to analyse that, and get the statistics.

Normal la... Usual pay TV operators around the world practice that. Cuz if they don't provide preview, most customers won't know what kind of programming the channel offer. The best is, the customer get hooked after watching the preview, then they subscribe it.
