Agreed. There got Bloomberg, Euronews, Al Jazeera on Youtube. It is HD and live. If you got interest in Mandarin news, there got HD news from China and Taiwan.

Some channel provide with HD quality with 60fps.
The picture will be more clear & smooth.. drool.gif rclxm9.gif

Wonder if broadcaster like Astro & HyppTV also can provide 60fps content in the future.. hmm.gif

No 60fps.... Don't forget, we Malaysia use the Europe TV standards, so it is 50fps.

Do you actually know that all TV channels you see on Malaysian TV including Astro, Hypp TV, digital TV, etc. are all 50fps (PAL)?
Malaysia follow Europe one.... or you can say, we follow UK standards one.

60fps (NTSC) is common known for America or Japan standards.

So, don't expect for 60fps. Expect 50fps instead.

Ok.
Can still depend with YouTube for HD, 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K, 60fps & 120fps.

Only internet based company can add this.
Because, some flagship smartphone already support HDR & 60fps function. So, YouTube will be main source to get/watch new video that support this new feature. smile.gif

Man, Astro subscribers are still salty (angry) over their horrid service.
While here, we barely even complain about their service. At least, I'm happy with mine.

Also, I'm glad mine (Transvision, that is.) will have PVR in the next 3 months.
Wish they also add 4K channels and Dolby support soon.

In Malaysia, it's more likely to never happen. Sadly.

Wah. Good for you... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif
Heard that Transvision also can ask question about Transvision service via WhatsApp? Is it true? hmm.gif

Seems like Astro is the only satellite Pay TV provider can afford to have Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. And, here Astro take Nickelodeon(SD South East Asia feed) & Disney(Channel, Junior & XD) is Malaysia feed*.

*source from lyngsat page. True or not, i don't know.

This might explain on why Singapore based Pay TV like Starhub TV & Singtel TV can get HD version for Nickelodeon channel. Because, Singapore cartoon channel Nickelodeon is from HD South East Asia feed & not SD South East Asia feed for Malaysia & Indonesia. sad.gif

The different between Nickelodeon SD & HD for South East Asia feed is SD feed have BM audio for Malaysia region. But, Nickelodeon South East Asia HD feed only have English, Chinese & Thailand audio. Hmm.....

Or we call as like Cartoon Network dedicated SD feed & HD feed. Not same. But, have same program show. Too bad, we still stuck with Nickelodeon SD feed for both Astro & HyppTV platform. wacko.gif wacko.gif

And also, this also explain why HyppTV not add Nickelodeon HD. Because, they take same feed like Astro one. laugh.gif laugh.gif

More info: Nickelodeon SD & HD feed split in Intelsat 19.
Cartoon Network SD feed is on AsiaSat 7 & HD feed is locate on Measat 3a. smile.gif

Hmm... I wonder how big is the hard disk capacity....

Astro do have Dolby 5.1 audio, but 4K is still early stage for broadcasters worldwide to implement la, and it is still expensive to do so...
For sure, I believe, UHD service will come to Astro someday. It's just a matter of time.

I think that's going to be variable.
Either 250GB, 500GB or even 1TB. Built-in or probably external HDD.
I'm pretty sure TransVision will be Dolby supported, too.
4K might be possible in the next 12 months or so.
So, yeah.

Don't know will attract tonton customer or not. hmm.gif
But, HyppTV offer Outdoor Channel HD for FREE to all HyppTV & HyppTV Everywhere app.

This channel also don't have BM sub like Luxe.TV HD.
Btw, tonton app in Android still cannot watch. Blank black screen.
Fix bugs also take long time. doh.gif yawn.gif

Astro won't add this channel.
Even this channel will be add. I'm pretty sure that the feed on Astro will be in SD quality.

Look at what happen to FYI HD(ch736). Now downgrade to SD quality because the channel is not quite popular. And, this Outdoor Channel is all about fishing & boat program. A bit boring for me. yawn.gif

No wonder HyppTV give this channel for FREE... whistling.gif

Outdoor Channel is dedicated for niche audiences who likes to outdoor activities programmes such as fishing.
So, it is not everyone's favourite, so I think most likely that this channel itself are not expensive for pay TVs to buy the channel. In not nice words, cheap content.
That is why this channel is free to all Hypp TV and Hypp TV Everywhere. So, when tonton offer this channel, I would guess, they didn't spend much money on it to provide this channel onto their platform, not as much as premium content that majority of audiences looking for. I think, they just want to add more channel offerings onto their platform.

I agree that Astro won't add this channel onto their platform, because it would be obvious that the viewership of this channel will be low, and as always, Astro likes to slot in ads onto the channel. If your audience base is poor, means not much viewers are watching the channel, what is the point of putting ads onto it? The reasons for advertisers to advertise their product/service to the channel, won't be effective anymore.

And, Astro is very known for the fact that, if the channel viewership is severely under-performing, the channel won't last long on their platform, and it is a matter of time the channel will cease.

Based on their kind of thinking, I don't think they will offer the channel lo.
Even if they provide, most likely it will be a free channel.
