so seems like she9500 muffle is caused by it's tips material?
even it's tips move over to m3 can cause m3 to muffle.
and through so many ppl changing the tips. i notice that IEM actually change sound more when u change the tips.even change to the sound characteristic to other brand sound where the tips is come from.

memang we knew MYlarone is lookalike to Tc20
sound quality also quite close
but generally review of internet said Mylarone is slightly better than TC20
however there's some people also loved TC20 more than mylarone. they are quite close from what i read.
each got itself supporter for different kind of sound characteristic. (a bit bettter in this, a bit better in that.)

well
clone or not clone, as long as it sound as good or better, then it's good =P

seriously. if you run it from portable player / treo straight away. u think it can drive the earphone with extra impedance adapter? what is the purpose of you that want an impedance anyway.
u may ask scottiebaby how hard to drive his IM716 after adding a 75ohm impedance cable.
except u plan to use it with amp.
but from what i tried that day. tomahawk / govibe all can't power up im716 with 75ohm impedance. all of them max out only reach my normal listening volume, slightly lower maybe.
so scottiebaby forced to use PPAv2 which is not portable to drive it.

actually noise is not caused by the earphone itself.
it's the player emitted noise, while the earphone is sensitive enough to pick it up.
which usually low impedance earphone has this kind of trouble for being over sensitive.
if you pair the earphone with some DAP which is good enough, (example , Zen Micro, Zune) it won't hiss as the player doesn't produce hiss.

anyway,to slove it, as walabies said, we can add up the impedance (resistor) of the specific earphone, by adding some value (usually 15-100ohm) of resistor in series configuration to the earphone signal cable. or make a adapter like picture below so that you doesn't have to operate the earphone itself which operating it will void the warrenty. and adapter is better because you can use it for any other earphone too.
* note : do make sure to hand match the resistor to exact value (as close as possible you can get), because even as small as 0.1 ohm will have chances to make the earphone sound imbalance on volume for both side.

I've tried the mylar3, honestly, I prefer how the mylar2 sounded. But if what you want is analytic ( aka boring sound to me tongue.gif ) the m3 might serve your purpose well. But then...you might want the im716? The disadvantage is that they needed to be amp
*
i tested mylar2, and mylar 3. not bad at all. easily overtake EP630, H260. and not to mention SHE9500/9600, sony EX series IMHO.

QUOTE(walabies @ Aug 12 2007, 02:16 AM)
If you are looking forward to use a powerful amp, get mylarone xb, good amping capabilities.
The frequency response is 20~20kmhz. But then I need to confirm again.
Again, IMHO mylar2 is better for classical.
You have another options here dude.
Get the yuins.
PK1, 2, 3 tailored to your budget. (Suggest a PK2 smile.gif )
*
agree with the bold part. anyway regarding frequency respond, it really doesn't mean anythings. even stock earphone of sony has frequencies respond much better than that. some time even from 8-22khz.

* dude. not Kmhz lah. kilo-mega hertz..=P

I would sell my MS2i for a PK1 biggrin.gif Not a joke. rclxms.gif
But for a noisy environment the PK1 really doesnt works sad.gif
I already start counting for my Gmod. biggrin.gif

the adapter i made myself, i called it "impedance adapter"
order, yes, but have to wait slightly, i running out of plugs, and i have to settle Gmod cable first.
ETA around next week i can take order.
it is suitable for all earphone with standard 3.5mm stereo plug.
=)
as long as it can fit, yes it can be use.
but for higher ohm earphone, u don't have to use this, else the volume will become very low.

i think mylarXB is better than stock ksc75.
but recabled ksc75 is another story. and u can't comparing fish and prawn. one is fully open with maximum sound leak, virtually no isolation, while another one is IEM for u to use in noisy environment.
how to compare?
