How do you keep track of your earnings and loss? You create this sheet or is it a tool provided by fsm?

hey sifus, I am new to FSM. I just created my account and about to jump into the waters. But there is still this fear of FSM reliability. As with public mutual, i get to meet my agent, i get official statements from PM and so forth.

Since FSM deals on a virtual level, through a portal, will there be official or rather physical statements sent to me as prove of unit purchases ?

Got. Statements are send by email which you print out yourself. No phyaical statements.

I have sold my funds and the money did come back into my bank account thumbup.gif

Thanks, so when it comes to transactions, we deal with FSM right ? Not with the fund managers like affin or cimb ?

Sometimes, with lower sales charge in online platform, you can get a smilar deal, if not better deal than only PM itself, more diversity.

Thanks for the comparison. And because of this, i don't intend to add anymore funds to PM. Just maintain.
With FSM , i am more hands-on and more agile. Able to make transactions faster. That's why i have been following your discussions here to learn from sifus here rclxms.gif

hmm.gif not sure about others...but for me, this 6% ROI is applicable to EPF withdrawal money.....that means if if were to take out EPF money to invest it must have an ROI of at least 6 + 2 or 3% more to compensate for the extra risk....

if i were to use cash on hand to invest, i will not use the EPF 6% rate as yard stick for money put in EPF has locking period....

hmm.gif unless i am at 55, then i can use PEF as investment...for at 55 the locking period just certain T&C
*
I have the same view as you. If I withdraw EPF, of course it should be for something better that EPF.

For my cash at hand, 6 % is quite acceptable if it is consistent year on year plus i have the flexibility of switching unlike EPF.

I also learn a lesson not to judge a fund unless more than 3 years. Any geo political, economic or natural disaster event can wipe all years of gains in weeks but if the fund is resilient, it will bounce back in full force. I cut my losses right before the fund bounced back. Ouch.

Let's start with the notion that all rational investors wants the best return for the least risk they take... correct?

Hence to get this best of both world, a bit like getting a good Wahgyu Steak at McDonald price....

You need to use ROI / Volatility also known as "risk to reward ratio".

The larger the number the better. In this way, Ponzi Two is better compared to Ponsi 1 with a better risk to reward ratio.

For EI GEM, using the same argument... well, since there are only two global emerging equity unit trust fund in whole of FSM inventory, namely EI GEM and AM GEM, which both sucks, personally I would stay away from global EM equity as a whole.

I want to eat Kobe beef paying McD price!

So to tap into EM potential would RHB EM bond fund be ok in your books?

sifus here, with TPPA dead and with RCEP a very real possibility, how do you see this would change the economic forecast made so far ? Will US or Asia be on the losing end?

if you can't get the responses you needed,.....
you can try manually removes some units after getting the email from FSM abt platform fees deductions or you can just "ignore" the platform fees because the % is just too negligible for it to have any serious impact on IRR calculation
*
Thanks, so we will be informed each time platform fees are charged.
good to know

Hello, first time investor here, got my FSM account ready last year but decided to hold till this year to get the RM1k incentive. biggrin.gif

I've decided to invest RM3k per year to maximise the tax rebate too.

My question is, should i just invest may be around RM1100 for one fund (to get the incentive) and then take my time to invest the remainder in the next few months? I think it would be safer to break into a few PRS funds right?
*
Eh forgive me for my ignorance. What is the RM1k prs incentive? Can share some details?
