just use the ori tyres till 50% then only change..... as others have mentioned, stock tyres are conti cc5, comfort tyres and quietness is acceptable by my standard.
why incur extra unnecessary expense in these trying times..... after 50% worn, trade them in to tyres of your choice. |

Hi previously was using Continental CC5 Stock from toyota
Lasted 50k km 3 year Currently Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 Clocked about 34k km about 2.5 year, the tyres still looking okay Other than these two model, do you guys have other better recommendation for budget tyre? Saw there are other options such as Michelin XM2+ Bridgestone Potenza RE080 Dunlop Assurance Triplemax Continental Sportiva Have any of you tried those mentioned above? Thanks in advance |

Thanks in advance I have a family car Vios 1.5J (model NCP150) with stock CC5 tyres since bought DEC 2015 but only clock 30K+ mileage. Looking to replace all tyres due to safety concern as reached 5 years ...although thread is still 50% left. I am usually a spirited driver and used HANKOOK Ventus V12 evo2 /17" (Korean made model) on other car. Recommended for performance with decent comfort + quality as made from country of origin. Price ~RM200+ for size 195/55/15. I would either stick to V12 or a cheaper KUMHO Ecsta PS31 (not made in Korea) going for only RM140 @ size 195/55/15. Alternatively, if Ecopia 300 is comfortable & quiet, I may consider it too. This post has been edited by dijon: Dec 1 2020, 10:25 PM |
