QUOTE(win7 @ Dec 27 2016, 03:36 PM) What brand? If you give me the brand then I can tell you if it is good or not. But in a generic point of view, handling principals is okay because you are handling their brand towards the market. But it depends how you market their brand and what sort of budget you are given. |

QUOTE(win7 @ Dec 27 2016, 04:09 PM) btw, are you an Expert in FMCG Industry? Not an expert but been in the supermarket industry for 10 years plus. So your business mainly deal with frozen and chilled food? For horeca business? Saw your company dymy company is kinda chinaman company, with long established history. [attachmentid=8315555] Most distributors that carry brands of principals without the principal's presence here are owned by Chinaman type of business. That's normal, unless you join better companies like dksh, mondelez. |

QUOTE(win7 @ Dec 27 2016, 04:27 PM) What do you mean how?You interested in the pay or are you interested in the career growth? Which are you looking for? In terms of career growth, I would say the possibility is good because you are handling a brand and you are responsible for it's growth in the market and it's market share. Do you also handle it's logistics, terms and conditions with your customers? Stuff like that? How much control of the job are you given? |

QUOTE(win7 @ Dec 27 2016, 04:35 PM) since i am new join, the ladyboss let me handle Inventory Control/Demand Forecast, Costing Adjustment (with Forex Exchange), Stock Purchasing. That's alright, since you are new at least you learn those first. Seems like you have a more hands on work on purchasing and inventory control.later only handle Marketing. FMCG, is alright, just stay put for 2 years then jump to another FMCG company or if the company is alright continue on. Make sure you have room to grown in 2 years or 3. With that kind of experience, you can do merchandising in retail business. Remember, what you learning now is a fundamental process, if you join another company, it will be the same, just different product and environment. It's just where you want to head. To me I think it is a good prospect job that you have now |

QUOTE(win7 @ Dec 27 2016, 04:46 PM) but 99% time is office based, very boring... hahaha.. Because you are new. Then you would be a process person and they would start teaching you things that maybe your salesman can't understand. I jealous my Salesman colleague, go here, go there...with high commission also. I have a friend who went from music industry to small appliances and now heavy machinery. Doing marketing, handling the brand, meeting the dealers, handling the salesmen's , making sure they can achieve their target, talking to dealers about pushing more of their brand, liaising with principal on stocks etc etc. He's getting paid more than 12k now. |
