Confirmed that HLB will award extra 0.10% irregardless whether RM888 mil is achieved. The extra 0.08% will still be awarded if the fund size is achieved.

I just went to ambank to do fd. They said only priority customer get 4.4% 1 year, others is just 4.38%.

Went to Hong Leong (no queue) at around 10:15, uplifted 2 fd and got a banker's cheque of 100k in less than 5 minutes time.

Reached Bank Islam (no queue) at around 10:45, took me 75 minutes (came out at around 12) to open a BSA (already submitted document yesterday but need approval for BSA) and placed that 2-year FD at ave 4.65.

The working speed is really an eye opener for me.  . Personally I feel that the time is not worth it unless the amount is >500k.

ps the BI FD slip shows only for 3 months. The exact matured date (2 years later), you have to use pencil or pen to write it down yourself on the slip.

At affin bank now. Got issue with affinsecure which is required for transaction of 10k or more online. The min amount required for the 6m 2.88% promotion is 10k. Tried to do the fd online last night but failed due to the affinsecure thing (stupid requirement in this case as it’s from own saving to own fd). Found out that the promotion can be done otc as well. For those who wish to do it online, the three boxes at the bottom can only be ticked after clicking on the respective links for the documents.

MBSB effective rate depends on which SA used. Around 2.615% if used Cash Rich SA. Wise Saver and Prime Win SA will be slightly lower.

However not sure if the promo still running after recent MPC meeting.

The RHB FPX efd promotion seems to have been taken away today. I was able to perform a deposit yesterday, but today I cannot find it anymore, even the marketing banner has been taken down.
Anyone else can confirm?

No sure the conversation  between both the customer n bank staff. But I guess, (1) minimum 10k to enjoy the special rate, so casa should have minimum 10k in order to debit for FD placement.. ..(2).the 10k is not earmark for the fd duration..

Is this a pure FD or bundled with investment?

I asked the Kepong branch and they said don't have this promotion. Need more info to push them
