hi good day folks.

so, here's what I captured browsing through the last few pages/genX page. need to place an FD for my mom (senior citizen) soon.
please let me know if i get this right?

1. AMB - 4.35% - 5 years, monthly interest
2. BR - 4.5 - 5 years (need to nego and probably >100K), monthly interest?
3. CIMB prefered - 4.2%
4. HLB senior - 4.3%
5. HLB eFD - 4.05%(tuesday 4.15%) - 1 year, monthly interest

No-5 : it's 9 months for 4.05% p.a. / 4.15% Tuesday; interest on maturity for eFd / 6 months 4% over counter placement.

For cimb is it 3-mth tenures?

well, it seems like the CIMB 4.3% was a mistake. so, have to disregard that for now.

HL 4.3% is NOT true, not CIMB. CIMB 4.2% for their Preferred customer or nego with large sum (one forummer reported that last week for non Preferred customer). I got the CIMB 4.2% deal last week. Have shown the cert also. biggrin.gif

oh.. sorry, my mistake. thanks for highlighting.

CIMB RM said for the Islamic FD with 4.2% and monthly interest need to open Current Account !

This is stated in Clause 2 of the T & C.

But it looks like apply to Conventional one also. I did not take up this one. Maybe 2 weeks later.  biggrin.gif

quick question, for the maturity return vs monthly return.

excerpt from the T&C
... during the Campaign Period in Fixed
Return Income Account-i – Maturity Returns or Fixed Return Income Account-i – Monthly Returns
(hereinafter collectively referred to as (“FRIA-i”):-

if there is monthly return, of course ppl will opt for it rather than yearly maturity return isn't?
was my understanding wrong already? please enlighten.

I went to cimb yesterday and not their preferred customer. Met with their BM to ask for fd rate 4.2% . She told me need to get approval from hq and minutes later she suggest me to join as preferred customer

I also choose islamic fd with monthly interest
*
may i know the criteria, and any info to join as preferred customer?

Just tried the new Maybank 12-month 3.83% eFD campaign rate. Campaign is from 20 May to 20 June, min 10k.

[attachmentid=8846412]

My only major complaint is that it's not clear whether you're getting the normal (3.1%) or campaign rate (3.83%) in the confirmation screen. Even the receipt screen doesn't tell you. Only after you finish the placement and check your account details can you be definitely sure you got which.

ignore. <for this, still choose "General Investment Account-i (GIA-i)" under the product name? don't see the eFD thingy>

found the instruction here : http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/eFD090517_flowplace.pdf

For internet placement at Maybank with 10k minimum:-

The promo shown is called eIFD-i/eFD with 2 offers for 6 months and 12 months under FD.
At the same time, the existing non-FD investment GIA-9 step promo for 9 months still running under investment (not the one) .

For OTC FD placement at Maybank with 25k minimum:-

Score 2.
IFD-i 3 More.

what's the effective rate for gia-9 step up promo?
