QUOTE(yygo @ Dec 23 2016, 08:56 AM) sorry sorry .... I read wrongly... the current rate I'm receiving now is 4.7% but effective rate is 4.31% only. 1-6th month = 3.4% 7-9th month = 4.7% 10-12th month = 5.75% This post has been edited by TSOM: Dec 23 2016, 09:09 AM |

I tried doing the GIA-i online, hoping to get 6 months 3.90% rate.
but how to know if I did it correctly, or maybe it's just the normal rate?? |

I'm looking for short term promo like 1 to 3 months... but it seems nowadays everything is 12 months.
btw, what's the economists outlook on our interest rate? rise/fall/stay in the next 12 months? |

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ May 25 2018, 12:26 AM) This depends on banks, some pay, some do not pay, some need to ask, like MBSB. normally, after it matured, what rate is applied for those 2 days?? Last time I requested Standard & Chartered bank to transfer my matured FD (matured on Saturday) to saving account on Saturday, so that at least I gained 2 days interest from S&C saving account. Check out first page's Post #3 for more info: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4154481 if saving rates, say 0.5%, RM 100k*0.005/(12*30) x 2 days = RM 2.77?? QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ May 25 2018, 04:01 PM) hahaha... I edited the post liao....btw, most CASA now calculate interest based on averaged daily available fund... so now u counted 27, but towards the end it won't be 27 tho... It's RM 2.77.... not RM27. so maybe it's not worth arguing with the staff to get the 2 days interest. This post has been edited by TSOM: May 25 2018, 04:05 PM |

QUOTE(pearl_white @ May 26 2018, 02:06 PM) Went for the 4.45% for 2 years with monthly credit of profit. Board rate is 4.35% so if there was premature withdrawal for better deals in the future, I would lose only 0.1%. sorry, which bank is this? They were giving branch specific gifts too, got umbrella, pen, pineng 10000mah powerbank. I chose the powerbank and took 10 units. Worth rm350 at lazada. So okie. |

If I make early withdrawal, like after 1 month, will I get any interest? |
