Thinking of signing up for priority banking, to reward myself. Anyone can recommend a Premier/Priority bank account which is giving high deposit interest rate?

Placed Alliance 12 month FDi at 4.38%. No CASA. Very easy and good service. No sales pitch by RM like in Ambank.

Just opened MBSB 12 months @ 4.48%. Savings account required - RM20. They were willing to give 4.50% for 24 months, but didn't take it.

US Fed indicated potentially no rate hike till 2023. If we follow them, which we normally do, our FD rates may stay at current levels for a very long time...

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Feb 11 2021, 07:50 AM) CNY exclusive! [for Hong Leong] The t&c says the funds must be transferred via FPX from another bank. Can the FPX money come from another person's account (e.g. family member) or does the account need to be in same name as HL account? In other words, someone else who does not have a HL account wants to take advantage of this promo.Grow your savings even more at 2.40% p.a. interest/profit rate for 6 months with eFixed Deposit/-i. Seems HLB still has eFD 2.4% 12 months, 2.35% 6 months. Place via FPX.

QUOTE(ikanbilis @ Jul 15 2022, 11:50 AM) Just a reminder to all potential HLB efd customers. I take it that you have checked your savinhs account.I have an efd with HLB for one year and it matured on 7.7.2022. When i tried to withdraw it online it gives an error that i have no efd with the bank. I have sent numerous emails and called them few times. For over a week now they still cannot get a solution for their technical glitch. [attachmentid=11199231] |

General question out of curiosity - say you have a reasonable sum to place in FD, e.g., 100k, do you place one FD for 100k or multiple FDs, e.g., 50-50, 25-25-25-25 or even 10 x 10s? Just want to survey. I would probably do 4x25s, but there are times I wish I did 10x10s due to emergencies.

I just placed Ambank 12 months at 3.2% via FPX. No need OTC or 10k in CASA. Use promo code BEST12. This post has been edited by Mattrock: Aug 3 2022, 11:34 AM harmonics3 liked this post

I have an existing Savings account with Mbsb, but no luck placing the promo online, even the un-bundled promo. Can only do the normal FD. Must be doing something wrong. Will call them to clarify.

QUOTE(steadypong @ Sep 20 2022, 01:49 PM) From T&C:5.1 The promotions are available for placements made for: - Combo – through Over the Counter (OTC) ONLY at any of the Bank’s Branches in Malaysia; AND Non-Combo – through Over the Counter (OTC) at any of the Bank’s Branches in Malaysia and M-Journey (RIB) According to above non-combo can also do via M-Journey which is online banking, unless I am missing something again. |
