If I only make one fd placement, will I be eligible for the free umbrella? because in their website, it says sign up for TWO products to get a CIMB umbrella.

In AmBank to place 12 mth 4.25% FD. Have been thinking of UOB 4.2% until this 4.25% comes up. AmBank beat UOB 12 mth FD.  tongue.gif

Anyway have withdrawn my UOB 4.2% FD with interest calculated daily and went into investment product.  biggrin.gif

They pay you daily interest?

I had my FD placed at UOB 4.2% last month and yesterday was supposed to receive monthly interest. Checked my account, no interest was credited to my SA. I checked my FD slip , there is also no indication that interest will be credited to account monthly.

Want to ask you all who have placed this UOB 4.2% FD, do I need to tell the bank upfront that i wish to receive monthly interest or else it will only be paid at maturity?

You need to fill in the saving/current ac number for the interest to be credited, which normally printed on the receipt.

yes, i did fill in my account number and it is printed on the receipt too under settlement for the deposit. So i think thats for principal to be credit back to my account on maturity. It is not mentioned anywhere in the receipt about interest crediting.

For ambank fd of 4.4%, can I open a joint account with my mum to get monthly interest? Is there any joint BSA account without annual fee at Ambank?

My Bank Muamalat FD matured on 29/5 which is Wesak Day. I withdrew the FD the next day at the branch and asked if they were going to pay me the 1 day lost interest. The teller told me they dont do so, and their practice is FD can only be withdrawn on the following day of maturity date. ohmy.gif

Is that true?

And their working attitude is very bad. Slow ! The teller even kept shaking her legs while serving me shakehead.gif

For CIMB 4.5% efd, are multiple placements allowed or is there a limit on number of times one can place?

No need CASA embark but advise to open a saving a/c, transfer all the $ into it when mature, anyway is not compulsory. smile.gif
