Bank Muamalat changed my profit rate from 4% to 3.75%!

The three FDs I placed with BM in May 2025 for 12 mths @ 4%, I see in my BM app that the profit rate has been changed to 3.75%.

These three FDs placed in May 2025 under the Bonus Booster Campaign.

Two other FDs placed in November 2024 @ 4.05% still remained at 4.05%.

Did anyone of you guys FD profit rate got changed??

this is the first time i learned agreed/binded FD rate can be adjusted.. unless they is a T&C allowing the bank to act such a way.. is good to read back the T&C... or ur printed cert etc

Under the Bonus Booster campaign T&C, it did state :

"The Campaign Profit Rates may be revised should there be a change in Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) or at the Bank's discretion"

I checked my placement for 15/5 and recent July placement, still stayed at 4%. Earlier placement Nov 2024 still at 4.05%.

U just noticed the change ?
*
Just checked again this morning, it's back to 4%.

I noticed the change just after midnight, it was showing as 3.75% and I screenshot them.

Looks like system update issue or it will just show 3.75% after midnight for a while.

I think it's how their system update works after midnight. Like now at 12.35 am, I checked and it's showing 3.75% again. Probably in next few hours, it will change back to 4%.

3.85% or 3.75%? When I texted the Bank Muamalat officer yesterday, she told me it is 3.75%.

Yeah join premier, min 50k and max 300k placement 6 months, no compound interest

After 6 months with the 4.28% interest, can close the account.

This is what I did with SCB Priority Banking early this year when they offered 4.08% for 6 months for new priority customers (min deposit RM350k)

Al-Rajhi just revised their TD interest rate downwards. Initially, 3.8% for 9 mths was supposed to be until 30 Sep 2025 but now highest is 3.7% @ 4 mths.

4 months - 3.7%
5 months - 3.6%

Currently 3.75% for 12 mths seems to be highest offered by BM, MBSB until 30 Sep 2025.

I think from 1 Oct 2025, will revise downwards. I will be happy if they can maintain 3.75%.

MBSB and Bank Muamalat still 3.75% for 12 mths for October.

I believe these two currently highest FD/TD rate.

3.83% is probably the highest in the market now.

However, Bank Rakyat deposits are not protected by PIDM for those who are concerned.

Wonder why Be-U FD need to apply and wait for them to approve before can transfer funds. I already have few FDs with them and not new customer.

My FD with them matured last night and want to place another 12 mths today. It's pending their approval and I was told they only review and approve on weekdays. So, have to wait until Monday.

Lesson learned here is to apply for FD placement on Friday during business hours if your FD matures on Friday night.
