Are you getting more from Affin Invikta at 4.3 % when compared to Ambank at 4.3 % for 1 year during your placement in February? Both are OTC. Ambank is using 365 divisor days in 2023 and 366 divisor for days in 2024. How is Affin calculating for the 2024 days?
Other than the interest, Ambank can autouplift into the savings account on maturity without need to go to the bank. Does the Affin Invikta allow monthly payment of interest?

All must provide, you should threaten AmBank, you will be surprised they will give you a zero fees account before you know it all of a sudden.

Just to share. Have MBSB combo promo matured yesterday. A bit funny how their system works. On maturity date, your Principal and interest all goes back to Saving account. However, the locked cash in savings account is still unavailable until today. So for the locked cash part, it's maturity day + 1, then only become available balance.

I've had the savings account for many years. At the time of opening, I believe I was informed that a debit card was required to activate the online banking using the card details. Some banks today are still giving the same reasoning.  with the additional reason that most online transactions require app approval, which app is also activated using the debit card.

Maybe MBSB doesn't require it any more. Are you able to do online banking transactions with MBSB now?

If you fail to get the Affin's virtual card, then open Affin basic saving account with a free debit card that can access to Affin internet banking.
It is a credit card size blur color paper with some number on it that can activate internet banking and Affin secure banking.

Affin call centre staff asked me to put in Virtual card number in order to activate secure banking about 2-3 months ago.
But I lost my virtual card for a long time which I spend to much time to look for it until today.

Nowadays even what I do OTC, I will put the maturing instruction to be uplift to SA upon maturity. Then can transfer via online and save one trip.
